Rep Power: 0 2009 DX VP & keyless entry??
Just bought a 2009 civic dx vp (fit my budget), but hate that only has manual door locks. I want to add keyless entry. Honda dealer tells me they don't offer such an option/kit to add to that model. Any suggestions?? (I know nothing about car electrical wiring; would prefer to take somewhere if available & not too expensive) thanks

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

I don't see a kit offered by Honda either. Try a car stereo/alarm place. If the car doesn't even have power locks, it will be sort of pricey, if it is even possible.
I really don't know what all is available in aftermarket accessory land. Shop around.

you may need to research this, but many times you can buy the latch and actuator assembly from the 2009 EX model and it will bolt right up in place of the manual version. then you just have to run the wiring to the aftermarket alarm. mostly oem and fairly cheap. i think the latch and actuator is around $50 from majestic honda.
