Rep Power: 0 squealing while accelerating HELP!!!!
The other day I started my car and began to pull out of my spot. While accelerating my car started squeaking from the passenger side. I THINK it was coming from under my hood. I googled the problem and many results said the serpentine belt may be loose. I pushed on it, it's tight as could be. I'm by no means a car expert and cannot find out what is wrong. Everytime I begin to accelerate it sqeuals or squeaks. However, after I come to a complete stop a few times, the noise goes away. It is a Honda Civic 2009 with only 30k miles.

If it's a serpentine belt, there's just one. The tensioner does what you would expect it to. It adjusts the tension for the belt. The belt may be worn, or the tension could be too loose or tight, or a combination of a worn belt and it being out of tension spec. I tried to find a pic to give you an idea of the layout:
Don't know if it helps any.
