I recently swapped a d16y8 intake onto my d17a2, im having idling issues. i've seen on some threads that say you need a aftermarket ecu and the d16 throttle body, is this needed to make it work correctly? Any information on the swap would be awesome.

Did you Dremel a port for the IACV?

you swapped all of your electrical plugs and sensors from the em2 manifold to the y8 right?
and not that it should matter in the summer but you have the coolant lines hooked up right?

I don't think you need to connect back the coolant lines. I just ran mine to the back of the engine and I capped off IACV coolant ports

I'll check if the coolent lines are hooked up right, I did dremel out the port for the IACV and switch out all the sensors from the d17, thinking maybe I have a vacuum leak?

Did you plug the TPS sensor into the map sensor plug?
If everything is okay I think you may I have a vaccumm leak or your iacv is bad

So I cleaned out IACV and made sure i had the right sensors plugged in but it still isnt running right, it idles high most of the time and then bounces between 1000 and 3000 until it is shut off. I took it for a drive and it felt like i had loss of power. Any idea what my problem is? One of my sensors could be bad but wondering what one, could it be a vacuum leak?
