Need info on replacing Head gasket and timing belt 89 civic

Is there any info on doing a replacement of head gasket and timing belt on 89 civic DX. I have the 250 dollar kit full of gaskets etc and a new timing belt. Now I look at my motor and I'm freaked out to start pulling everything off the motor with no info on what to do, haha. Anyway any info would be appreciated. Thanks

with no info
Buy the appropriate service manual.

If you don't already know the cars and don't have a service manual, yet still try to do the work, then you deserve every problem you get.

even just cut/paste this into google......

civic headgasket replacement

I'd rather not post links to other forums here though.

There's a couple of other forum boards with extensive pics on HG replacement on the first page. Even if it's not the same model it'll give you an idea. I owned a 78,79,81 Civic and my 99 engine isn't that much different.

Thanks Stock 99, I'll keep looking on line. Ezone your an idiot, of course I have the manual, so happens the info is not in there. I've worked on lots of american cars but not Hondas. Ezone I would appreciate you not trying to help me. With your attitude others probably feel the same way.

Maybe this information would help you: https://www.civicforums.com/forums/**************/PR6Fj1

of course I have the manual,
I read your original post several times. I even had my seeing eye dog read it to me.
Meet Spot, my guide dog

He couldn't find it either.
There is no mention of you having the appropriate service manual in that post.

Let me repost what you said in your OP here:

My reading comprehension might not be the best at all times, but your statement above led me to believe that
A) You're freaked out
B) You have no info on what to do
C) You want info.

I gave an answer that seemed quite appropriate, based solely on what you posted:
Buy a freekin' manual.

so happens the info is not in there.
If the manual you claim to have is missing the information you need, then it certainly isn't appropriate for the work you want to do.

Therefore, I again suggest you obtain an appropriate service manual.

You're welcome. Glad to be of assistance to you. Have a great day.

This should be good. I'm going to let this live since Ezone regularly helps members here and basically did nothing to deserve being called an idiot.

And because he's in the top 1% of all Honda techs in the country AND he was THE number one Mazda tech at one time in the entire country.

But feel free to bash him all you want Trever Wickens. You don't need his help anyways.... What does he know.....

How soon we forget.

I'm the only person that bothered to reply to the other two threads OP made, and I was 100% correct on both of those threads.

Ezone Accept my apology. I should not call you and idiot. Had a frustrating day and frustration with the car plus plus plus that day. I deserve all the comments. Thanks for your help. The adding break fluid idea did'nt actually solve that particular issue. Anyway peace with us I hope.
