Re: Manual trans... popping out of 5th gear into neutral while driving

It's also a common symptom of bad mounts, engine/transmission.

Especially if the torque mounts are worn out, the engine can rock back while accelerating and pop the transmission out of gear.

Re: 2002 Civic Ex Will not Accelerate

Re: Problem with screws in shift knob!

We're talking about an automatic shifter right?

I'm not sure if/where there is a shift lock overide button on the 1999, but there is one on the 2001-05.

It's a small 1/2" x1/4" rectangular...

Re: Reaching the d17a1's full potential

The vtec conversion is relatively easy, there are a few DIYs on this site, and moves you to 127hp right off the bat from the stock d17a1; combined with a stage 1 cam and IHE, you'll notice quite a...

Re: Civic Si Engine Limits

There is more potential with an older si running a k20 or k24. Of course a turbo will be needed.

Simple displacement issue 2.4L > 1.5L

You can probably increase the 1.5 with a tune, larger...

For handling you want stiff suspension.

If you have ti ask then you arn't ready.

500hp has been done.

You're thinking about Type R civics, direct japanese imports. Any civic shipped directly to America or built in America like the Si, is just a regular car.

B16/B18 from a scrap yard are $300.

Re: What would you recommend for 2018 Honda Civic?

You may need oil changes done at honda or a warranty approved shop to maintain your warranty. So check that out.

But do everything else yourself, filters/tire rotations.

Did you deck the head? If not then that gap may be losing compression. Especially with cylinders 2 and 3 showing low compression. The middle of the head is usually where it warps.

If not then the valves/rings may need time to break in and deal properly.

You should check the wires to the solinoid from ecu, for control voltage.
