Re: DIY: Custom Trunk II !with access to spare tire!

Looks awesome! Great work, that's extremely clean.

It makes me proud that a decade later this is still helpful to people. Best of luck to anyone else who attempts a project like this!

This is great seeing this still used. I've since helped another friend with a similar project, and we basically did this all over again.

As an aside, updated my car in my sig now that the Lotus is...

Re: Lotus Elise - just took delivery!

There is no need form a different engine. Even though Honda K series is possible, this 1.8 can easily do 300 whp stock. Build they can easily do 400+whp. The problem is the transmission is only made...

Re: Lotus Elise - just took delivery!

I highly recommend it if you are the right buyer. If you value comfort or practicality at all, buy a German sports car.

Re: Lotus Elise - just took delivery!

Well, I've owned this car for 2 year now. Here's a few updates.

I keep track of every tank of gas, and in the 10,500 miles I've driven the car, it's averaged 24.95 mpg.
Only part that has...

Awesome! Congrats!

Re: Wingsuit

Tandem jumps are usually around $200 each here. Jumping with an instructor is around $100. To just jump by yourself, with your own gear, should only be about $20 - $25.

Re: Wingsuit

You buy it all over years. A parachute rig is $3000+ used to $7000+ new.

Wingsuit is $1000-$2000 new.

Jump tickets are $24 each.

My best guess is that all in you're looking at $15,000 -...
