Re: can I run a bigger tire than 195/60/15?

I would run 14's with a taller tire (same overall diameter). It will give you a little more sidewall. Then you can look at sidewall flex ratings for the tires and find a softer tire.

Re: Another project car.

I bought a 12 ton hydraulic press last weekend. I am going to use it to do the lower control arm bushings and more. It is going to be very stiff (for the street) when I am done for sure.

Upgraded shift linkage bushings with polyurethane ones.

The shifter feels much more defined and mechanical, I like it a lot.

I switched back to 87 octane after the ping went away, it caused the ping to return. So I am going to use 91 octane until I can figure out what is the cause. I suspect low fuel pressure.

Re: What did you do to your civic today?

Make sure that is what is wrong. Even with a O2 emulator, you can still get cat codes. It tricks the computer and sometimes it does not work. you might need a longer extension or one with a bend.

Poorly running engines can decrease the life of the cat (unburnt gasoline). I had one go out after driving with a misfire. With all of the miles on yours that seems about right.
