Oh Shiznit!!! Help Me!!!

well boys i don't know what the hell happen, but i pray to god it's nothing serious... i did something really stupid... i don't know how i managed to do this, but i did... it's so freak'n stupid... i passed a guy coming down my road and i was in 3rd, and i passed him an i was gonna shift at like 6500ish to 4th, and what do i do??? put it into fackin second... :hithead: :hithead: ... i am such an idiot... so i fired it into neutral, then the exhaust sounded odd... so i put it into 5th and was goin 80, sounded still funky... then the check engine light came on... then the battery light came on... and then my rpm's went to 0... i was like... oh $hiite... fired it into neutral, my steering went and brakes... they felt like super hard to push and turn... so i managed to get into my driveway by momentum, and now the car will not turn over... any suggestions... taking it in tomorrow to smiths falls or kars, not too sure which one... i'm scared... :help:

Lynk 04-09-2006 10:05 PM

yeah, that doesn't sound too good! definately sounds like something is screwed up in the engine... could be a few things... hopefully it won't be too bad... hopefully...

burnhard88 04-09-2006 10:10 PM

the engine wasn't smoking or anything... and i didn't really hear any knocking... the only thing that i can think of is that the tranny is shot... but then again, i think the car would still turn over only if the tranny is shot...

SuperFishy 04-09-2006 11:12 PM

i wonder how high your engine was reving... poor thing, maybe the valves tasted the pistons, thats never good.

burnhard88 04-09-2006 11:42 PM

ummm... when i shifted and let go of the clutch, f'n needle practically buried... :(... so lets say 8,000+

burnhard88 04-10-2006 07:08 AM

:(:(:(... i guess she'll be going under the knife in a matter of hours... i got to get it towed down the road or into smiths falls... *sigh*

w00t for extended warranty!!! free tow from kars to smiths falls!!! LMAO

JDMspark009 04-10-2006 09:22 AM

Charles just dont tell them what happend cause they will say it is ur fault and not cover the warrenty here is to hoping you get a new engine K20A

burnhard88 04-10-2006 10:19 AM

LOL... yeah, i told them that i was driving down the road, the check engine light came on, then the battery light, and everything practically locked up... HAHA... which is all true... only small detail i forgot to tell them was that it revved at 8k plus... :p... yeah, if it's a blown engine, then i'd try for the k20... :p

SerialD 04-10-2006 10:26 AM

hope things work out ok charles, and to think you just got it, ouch.

burnhard88 04-10-2006 11:01 AM

yea i know... i've had it for like... what... a month and a half??? got it on the 23rd of february... and i think managed to put on something like 6,500 km's on it...

JDMspark009 04-10-2006 12:09 PM

I hope when they take the oil pan off there is not a piston in there

burnhard88 04-10-2006 12:16 PM

me too... *cryz*

04hemiboy 04-10-2006 01:11 PM

Wow that sucks...I think you roasted the motor..Play dumb and it might work out alright

burnhard88 04-10-2006 02:15 PM

that's what i'm doing... haha... playing it like a complete idiot... :p... and what's sick, is a guy has a k20a3 for sale on here in montreal... :p... engine, ecu, tranny, aem sri, dc sports headers, a cat-back exhaust... all for $1500... sadly it's only the base model rsx engine, but hell it'd be better than nothing...

**UPDATE**

just got a phone call from someone at car canada and they said..........................

they believe that it's the timing belt... so i guess that's good news assuming nothing is blown and it's only that... but they believe timing belt, so that's a good thing

JDMspark009 04-10-2006 08:50 PM

Make sure they check the valves and th ehead gasket so there was no head lift

Tofast4me 04-10-2006 09:48 PM

are you paying for the hours they are using to determine what the problem is? cause if you are it might just be better and be honest and tell them what happened. Your car has a computer and if they needed to they could find out what really happened. If its your timing belt you probely have bent valves.Hope everything works out for ya. One question...did you continue driving or did the car turn off?

burnhard88 04-10-2006 10:08 PM

my car is sitting at hunt club honda now, awaiting to go under the knife, they will most likely work on it tomorrow... i'm going to check it out to see what is the final decision... it's all covered under warranty... i got honda and chrysler warranty... so that's all good

DDragon7 04-10-2006 10:15 PM

Wow, 6500kms on it already in a month in a half, I didnt even put that much on it in half a year since I got it.

gearbox 04-10-2006 10:56 PM

uh well as soon as they open it up and find the bent valves, and see the ecu code, you're paying the bill.

Pharoh 04-11-2006 09:01 AM

wow, you really are a Leafs fan aren't ya :p

jk

good luck to ya Charles!

burnhard88 04-11-2006 10:32 AM

well, if it comes down to it, and i have to pay it... then i'll pay for it... lol... but heck, if i still gotta chance for warranty, gonna take that hardcore... it's going into hunt club honda today hopefully sometime before the end of the day

WhiteHalf 04-11-2006 03:03 PM

Yeah ... I guess if they just check the timing belt ... and it runs fine, just be careful - cause you never know what long term damage that might have caused.

Time for a Type S swap ... I think. :)

burnhard88 04-11-2006 09:53 PM

lol... yes, i completely agree with you on that one...

04hemiboy 04-11-2006 10:51 PM

When you do a swap...

Sorry Charles to laugh at your expense but that was pretty funny:rofl:

SuperFishy 04-12-2006 10:36 AM

haha ya, owch

liljoe 04-12-2006 10:44 AM

If your timing belt went, then so did your valves. At those engine speeds, you will be lucky if you didn't destroy your pistons.

It is probably more than just that though. At those RPM's connecting rods and rod bearings are the weak links. Did you check your oil after? What noises did you hear? waht did it do when you tried to start it after? I think you might be in for a nasty surprise.

Good luck to you though, here's hoping its not that bad. :)

WhiteHalf 04-12-2006 08:16 PM

yah if he did something bad with those connecting rods and bearings ... will he notice some metal fragments/fillaments in his oil ? Just wondering what he should be looking for.

Unfortunately, he should be looking for some money, and some lube.

Bend over. This is gonna hurt :(

Btw, what kinda car was it? 7th gen SiR? New Si? Shandon and I are arguing over what your car is :P
