is there any difference in performance between the Skunk2 megapower and the Skunk2 megapower r cat backs?...i cant really find any decent audio on any exhaust system so really im just lookin for a loud deep sound that doesnt buzz or rattle

The megapower is just an axle-back exhaust. Meaning just the end tip. Ur stock middle piping stays he same.


where as the megapower R catback is an exhaust that replaces all the piping from the catalytic converter (hence the name catback)

Usually the catback systems usE a bigger tubing diameter and have better sound because it has actually been calibrated for a better sound. Most of the time.

i have the magnaflow cat. back and it sounds nice. it's a bit raspy until the car is warmed up but after that it's a nice deep note that doesn't "putt" or "fart".

how ever i am running a high flow megnaflow cat. as well and have never heard the cat. back sound alone. there are clips on youtube of the sound.

i had a magnaflow cat back as well. it was never raspy, farted or putted... even at low rpms. but i had a stock cat on there.

thanks for the info i will keep it in mind, i had a flowmaster type muffler on my last car and it sounds good but not loud enough. unfortunately the only videos ive found on my car on youtube all sound buzzy and farty, even the better quality videos, so if anyone has some links on their system id like to hear it otherwise im just gonna hold off cuz cat backs get kinda pricey...and maybe a place to find a flowmaster cat back, the flowmaster website doesnt even have things for my car
