New dyno inside Again, this is 21 psi, same boost level as before. I saw in my other thread everyone asking if kpro is better than aem. Gery clarified it best. It is only as good as the tuner and there's way more crap that has to be set up on the AEM. The thing I like about kpro is you can set all kinds of limiters and backup safety settings and it gives cel's if something is messed up, its not on you to figure out what's going on. Anyways, I attribute this increase in power mostly to a clean air filter. I wanted to make sure everything was perfect for the dyno so I pulled it off last night and cleaned the shit out of it. I couldn't believe how dirty it was. But cleaning it definitely made a big difference. We also played with the adjustment of the cam gear but we found most power at tdc with no advance or retard. This tune was on 93 octane pump gas. I got a good 185 miles to the half tank it took me to drive almost 3 hours so the fuel economy is unbelievable. Re: New dyno inside daamn nice one man always good to get everything top notch for that shit great dyno in my opinion. |
Re: New dyno inside Well shit that looks like some fun. 2 questions... I assume the AEM cam gear is a typo since you kinda have to use the hondata gear IIRC question 2, what MAP sensor? Cuz I need one. |
Re: New dyno inside Thats a lovely curve. CONGRATULATIONS!!! |
Re: New dyno inside wow thats a lot of hp in a 7thgen |

Re: New dyno inside great power , love it. i will be there by next summer.will have to build the bottom end and get a new intake manifold to hold boost. all other things i already have. one Q; your you happy with the result? good job. one for the 7th gen . lets see quarter mile times ,and a video. cant wait to see what it will do in the 1/4 mile...    |
Re: New dyno inside Will it do a peel-out? hahaha time to change your sig. sick numbers man |
Re: New dyno inside Yeah I'm happy with it. Anymore power will require a race gas tune and I don't want to mess with it, honestly. Its putting down insane power for a street car and I want to keep it streetable, 11's has been my goal from the start and the car is now capable of pulling an 11 second pass at this power level. |

Re: New dyno inside Nah, I can't afford a camcorder, I spend too much on parts. |
Re: New dyno inside nice curves |
Re: New dyno inside damn nice man |
Re: New dyno inside Great numbers, congrats. What were your a/f ratios like? |
Re: New dyno inside damn...very nice. would like to see the 11 sec quarter mile..that would be bad ass. nice job! |
Re: New dyno inside not gonna lie....one of the hottest civics ever....love it...keep up the good work |
Re: New dyno inside A/F's were around 11.5-11.8 |
Re: New dyno inside Grats, Nice numbers Andy! |
Re: New dyno inside Thats amazing andy. Just wondering how your has been holding up with all that power. |
Re: New dyno inside 9,000 miles on the motor so far. No damage... |
Re: New dyno inside How long did it end up taking you to tune? |
Re: New dyno inside actual tune time was maybe 3 hrs or so. |
Re: New dyno inside My bad andyman i had a typo, i meant to ask how well your tranny was holding up with that power. Wondering if you have done anything to the tranny internals to strengthen them. Still very very impressed with your numbers. |
Re: New dyno inside did tony do the tune for you? badass numbers! |
Re: New dyno inside Nope tranny is bone stock. Haven't done a thing with it. Its taken quite a beating, too. Yeah, Tony tuned it. |
