camber kit

just wondering if anyone is selling their camber kit since i'm doing the drop this weekend.. might as well install it while dropping it...
if not, probably just get it from garage kwai??? or wait till we get the group discount first?? haha
i'm a cheap bastard :hgrin:

Let me know if you want to get one from Kwai. I need to get one as well so maybe they will cut us a deal or something. Always looking to save some money ( - :

Just so you know (if you dont already) When they drop your car you will need to an alignment. I didnt realize that when I had mine done last week and when I drove out I was like what the F*ck!

Most people wait until they get their camber kits to have it done. Otherwise I guess you might end up doing it twice.

so have anyone tried to talk to garage kwai or other performance shop for getting a group discount?

Get SPC rear camber kit from Eddie(Truehonda) and install them yourself.
Just 3 bolts to remove.

Come down to milwaukee and i will install them lol.
How much do they charge for rear camber kit install anyways?

ajhdragon 04-25-2005 08:51 PM

make the trip to st.louis and i'll have the drop and cambers on in less than 2 hours. its easy to do.

es2k2 04-25-2005 09:17 PM

how are you guys going to do the alignment for me?
you have the air tools for taking off the wheels?

i don't mind driving to milwaukee or st. louis if you can do it for me...

i'm not sure how much they are going to chrage for installing the camber kit... i only need the rear??

ajhdragon 04-25-2005 09:45 PM

how low do you plan on dropping it? im dropped on ebiach sportlines(1.4) anything lower than 1.5 your need the camber kit. and didn't need to reallign my car. no problems with the handeling.

es2k2 04-25-2005 10:33 PM

i got the tein s tech.. think it's only 1.3 in the front and 1.4 in the rear
so i don't need the camber kit? that's cool

ajhdragon 04-25-2005 10:38 PM

nope and the springs are very easy to install. i did mine a week ago and it took all of 2 hours for all 4(first time on a 7th gen). as long as you have an airgun to take the front camber bolts off, its super easy. if not just hope you have alot of wd-40. of yeah and spring compressors if your doing it by hand or else it could get kinda dangerous takeing the old springs off.

I didn't have rear camber kit when I had Tein s tech, but you definetly need it.
Can't do alignment obviously but will do installation.

Aligment = 50-60
Spring, Camber kit = 200+
at shop.

It's easy diy, as long as front axle doesn't pop out during install lol.

You NEVER want to use airtool to put lug nuts for wheels.
Over torque = Disaster.

ajhdragon 04-26-2005 10:40 AM

you don't use ait tool to put them on but to get the camber bolts off your want air toold.

definitely get a camber kit(SPC) for front and rear, even if you arent dropping more the 1.5. its better for your car and tires in the long run. also noted as for chicago regional peeps:
