zzzzzzzzzv 12-18-2005 09:54 PM

bump for a nice set of lights.

MBison 12-20-2005 12:33 PM

this might be a stupid question but would it fit sedan?

Hippiboy 12-20-2005 02:43 PM

i dont know about the black housing. I have coupe and i think there is a minor difference in sedan and coupe. I know for a fact that HID will work for both tho.

ic, the setup looked familiar, how long have they been used? Thanks

Hippiboy 12-21-2005 11:25 PM

used for about an year.

D5cIvIc 12-22-2005 07:20 PM

hows the glare on the headlights and hids?

ThsUserNmIsDumb 12-25-2005 05:37 PM

How hard is this to install?

Hippiboy 12-26-2005 12:21 AM

all the wires are plug-in. All you need is zip-ties. Took me hour and half and most of the time was spent on deciding where to place the ballast.

ThsUserNmIsDumb 12-26-2005 07:46 PM

Is there a good place to mount the ballasts? I don't have the stock intake, so I know I can put the passenger side ballast where the stock intake ended, but what about driver's side?

Also, what's the legal stance of this kit?

Thanks.

Hippiboy 12-26-2005 08:10 PM

The placement of the ballast depends on the user preference. I seen people place them behind the bumpers, on the fire wall, anywhere you want. I do not know the lega stance of this kit. I never been pulled over for it. The nice thing about 43000k is that it provides the brightest output with white color. It looks very stock. Does that help?

D5cIvIc 12-26-2005 10:19 PM

all aftermarket HID kits are ILLEGAL

If the wires are as long as I think it is, you can ziptie the ballasts behind the front bumper bar.
I've had mine there for years without any water issues.

bump for a great kit. as you can see there is very little glare. prolly the best aftermarket kit available. and if he still has the papers it says DOT approved.

The one that im selling is NOT High/Low. I dont want anyone to be confused. Also, the diagram shows everything unplugged. For my kit most of the wire hardness are already hooked up. Just have to connect the wire hardness to the ballast then to the headlight. Thanks for the Great info gearbox!

PicCoLoboi02 01-02-2006 06:36 PM

did you get my PM, thanks

Hippiboy 01-02-2006 08:41 PM

PM sent

PicCoLoboi02 01-04-2006 01:22 PM

thanks for the reply. I'm still debating because you used it for a year and your the 2nd owner so i'm not too sure how much bulb life is still left. Don't really want to buy a kit and then change the bulb right away ya know..those little things are expensive :_disgust:

Hippiboy 01-04-2006 05:45 PM

The bulb should have plenty of life left on it. I checked the website before i got them and i think those bulb lasts long time. They calculated the milage that its suppose to last for and it came out good so i bought them.
