Where oh where?

Ok, look at the pic. Pick areas I should stay away from and select good areas. you don't have to state y the area is good/bad, but plz don't be biased.
I want a safe area, not too far from the city. Places around the city like theaters, malls, shopping etc.
No idea where we will be working yet.

Try to edit the pic and put X for bad or check marks for good.

Thanks,
D

That map is too general, all of those areas have good areas but the thing with phoenix is that there could be a $750,000 house on one block and a section 8 housing development on the next block. If you can do a mapquest for streets. I would stay away from Countryclub/arizona ave. Glendale ave, broadway, main st. south gilbert rd. those are just a few.

Derek-CEO 03-03-2006 04:14 PM

throw me a frikken bone here. :D

shifthis 03-03-2006 04:21 PM

Are you coming out for a visit before you come out for good?

Rufus 03-03-2006 04:25 PM

Derek you need to talk to one of us over the phone. If you want to spend some time this weekend, PM me and I can look at the map with you and give you a rundown in 15-20 minutes

Sorry I couldnt resist.

shifthis 03-03-2006 04:30 PM

Seriously though, if you coming out anyone of us I'm sure would be happy to cruise you around town and show you the nice spots and bad spots. To some people bad spots are old that dont have any crime and to other people it is only about crime rate.

Rufus 03-03-2006 04:31 PM

It could be done over the phone though

PunkingCivic 03-03-2006 04:34 PM

My company has two jobs in the Scottsodale and Phoenix area

Homestore.com - Realtor.com - Move, INC

http://careers.homestore.com/servlet/av/search

Inbound Customer Care Representative, Customer Care, Homestore, Inc
Scottsdale IT Manager, Technology, Homestore, Inc.

shifthis 03-03-2006 04:35 PM

WOuld defenitely be easier over the phone.

shifthis 03-03-2006 04:40 PM

fair enough

Derek-CEO 03-03-2006 07:33 PM

we are coming down apr 6-10.
We were first thinking of Gilbert/Chandler but then this guy we talked to that has some houses forsale said that if you want to live beside a dairy farm, then thats ur place. He suggested N. Phx.
I want a newer area with low crime rate.
We are so lost now.

@PunkingCivic: Didn't know those places were HQ'd in phx. I don't think i would qualify for the IT Manager position. But I will send me res when I get there.

Pool would be nice weather private or community.

You can also log in as me derekb/qwerty123 and check out the favs I have bookmarked http://www.rentclicks.com/myfavorites.asp?ws=58 and say yay or nay with the ID of the house or URL to it.

Derek-CEO 03-05-2006 08:10 PM

there is no address, the one listed is not the one.

7311 S 37th Dr
Phoenix, AZ 85041 (not correct)

its in growing Baseline Corridor near South Mountain

how can it be ghetto when it is all new stuff? I don't get it?

Use this as a reference

S 35th Ave & W Baseline Rd
Laveen, AZ 85339
In the Amber Ridge area

Ill get back to you. My dad has some condos in very nice areas, completely remodeled. Ill see if he has something for ya.

Some of them are in very high class areas, but rent would not be ridiculous. Under 1200. Most his places have new granite, tile, carpet, paint. And they are done very nicely.

N. Phoenix, Paradise Valley, Scottsdale are all nice. I live in N. Phoenix, and was born/raised Scottsdale. I will always stay on the East side of the valley. Just seems much more peaceful to me.

Ill see what is available and get back to you.

And Im 22, my name is Chris Hirth, and I work for RE/MAX Achievers.

And I would definately stay away from south and southwest Phoenix. Most crime/problems you hear about are from that area.

shifthis 03-06-2006 10:36 AM

35th and roser is the ghetto, you have to be careful because every new home builder is building there right now. I am 30

Derek-CEO 03-06-2006 10:57 AM

Isn't awatukee in south phx?

I guess this is out too?

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=7234+S...AZ+85042&hl=en

Originally I was focusing on Gilbert/Chandler, so I should prolly stay with that huh?

@Chris: We really need a house. We have 2 dogs and need a nice yard and big room for office etc. But since you are a realtor, you would have access to rentals as well wouldn't you? Cause we have a woman with Provident Partners Realty that is helping us find places, but if you can do it, even better. We don't pay her anyway.

Let me know.

D

shifthis 03-06-2006 11:00 AM

Awhatukee and South PHX are seperated by a mountain, a barrier if you will. Awhatukee is very nice. I live in Gilbert and used to Live in Chandler on Ray and Kyrene both are close to the dairy's. I can hardly ever smell them and if you do its very faint and nothing horrible.

Since Arizonia is one of the biggest growing states in the world (due to the super bowl commin' soon) A-lot of people from... say "mexico" are coming across the border to find "a nice place to live." Sadly there degenerate "kids" bring habbits from there past life (like theft, tagging, crime) into the new neighborhood.

To use natives this is :-bs: IMO! I lived in the same neighborhood for about 20 years! Just LAST week my wall get tagged real bad! It's verry frusterating! :_doh:
