Im actually not going to be selling the 7000k or 8000k in the GB. Not going to direct people the wrong way. If they want, You can tell them to wait for my site to open

yes, I can get that

HelloPanda03 08-25-2004 03:41 PM

Cool, HIDs! Hmm.... The bulbs are not tinted, correct? If 20 people get in this group buy, would they have enough stock on hand? Or will some have to wait for backorder?

Edit: Oh yea, has anyone had experience with these HIDs? I've never heard of Xtec. I know for OEM housing, there will always be glare with HIDs, but how bad would the glare be with proper aiming?

ser02rav4 08-25-2004 07:28 PM

"...Taiwan, Japanese engineering/design..."

Could you tell the brand name? Could that kit come in with the negative harness?

Id interested in h11 and 9006 as well.

All reflective based housings will get glare... However there are ways to reduce it. These kits really shouldnt produce a lot of glare but if they do, you can paint the bottom of the headlight housing, or create a custom sheild.

Here is a picture of the kit:
http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...id=36806&stc=1

If more than 20 people order, It may take some time to recieve the kits simply because I didnt expect nor has the supplier thought the GB would reach or go beyond 20. Some will ship out ASAP, Some may only take an extra 4-5 business days ?

The bulbs are how I wrote it, Taiwan Made/Based, Japanese Engineering/Design.

ser02rav4 08-25-2004 08:39 PM

that doesnt make sense at all LOL, Just give the name if you can, cause Japanese Engineering and Design dont say anything.
And what about negative harness and who is gonna provide warranty in the states?

Meaning... The kit was designed in Japan, then MADE In Taiwan.

If something happends (Which shouldnt, You will be sending it to the supplier) then the problem will be checked out.

What are you talking about a negative harness? This is a plug and play kit.

JCiv03 08-26-2004 01:06 AM

Anyone have exp in putting this in lx/dx? The reason I am asking this is becuase it looks like there's more space in the ex engine bays near the headlights, and the lx/dx looks more cramped. SO I wouldnt know where to mount the ballasts... Help! :help:

1 Headlight at a time....

Set oven at 220 Degrees, Wait for it to get there

TURN IT OFF

Place headlight in there for 5 minutes

Take it out, Then, Take it apart

Clean the inside with Stoner Invisible Glass.

Set the oven again for 220 degrees

Turn it OFF

Place the seperated headlight in the oven (both peices/They can be on top of each other).

Wait 5 minutes

Take them out,

Use kitchen and Bath Water Proof silicone, Put a bead on the inside (where the existing oem glue was) then place the headlights together.

Wait 30 minutes for the silicone to become un-tackied? Then, Place a bead of silicone around the border/connection of the headlights. Wait for it to dry (20 mins), then add another border (make sure the headlight is SEALED).

Then you are done... I guarantee if you follow those steps they will never fog up again.

BTW, I suggest people to do this if they have aftermarket projectors... Yes, they come sealed but, honestly not properly. So, Do yourself a favor and seal them up correctly before they fog!

xRiCeBoYx 08-26-2004 08:46 PM

with my tycs, i just covered the "seam" between the lense and the body with a nice coat of silicone.. that did the trick..

ImPulse 08-26-2004 10:12 PM

I threw silicone all over my tycs =] dont need anything happening to mine! :p
