Post legit dyno results.

D17a2 (stock) 110.4HP / 103.5lb-ft T (at the wheels)
Hayame SRI +4.2HP / +2.9lb-ft T
DC Sports TCS +1.8HP / +.8lb-ft T
DC Sports Header +.6HP / -.3lb-ft T

Wow. DC sports header is a waste of money IMO.

i did feel lost of torq when i got my headers.. if anyone sits in the back i cant feel my car sturggling..

wow intake header and exhaust is a measly 5 hp....crap! when are u getting thr laughing gas?

I'd like to find out AEM and Injen's results but can't find it anywhere.

MIKEE.........you dont serously believe that you can feel the difference .3lb-ft of torque makes to you.

the numbers don't surprise me. modding our engines produce craptastic resultes

if you wanna make REAL power it costs more than 1000 bucks......

in any 4 cylinder car.......i don't care if its a GSR

yeah our engine doesn't respond as well to mods as others but, it takes ALOT of money to make ANY honda go "fast"

So stop ragging your (and my) car......have some faith.....

what kind of header was it? what car?
if it was an ex, did you have a 4-1? or 421? cause the 4-1 doesnt have a downpipe, so thats bottle necking all of the exhaust...

I wouldn't go as far as saying any 4 cylinder
With a borla catback $480 4hp
offroad pipe $200 9hp
afx udp $100 5hp
cam gear $150 7hp

Stock I ran 143hp
with these mods it adds up to 168hp
But this is with a Focus svt (note I am not tring to start anything)

mr brother has a camaro, he added a JET chip, borla exaust, ram air SS hood(fully functional), and a few other mods and only added about 25 HP.

Dats odd because I thought with those kind of engines mods like that would produce more for him. Ne ways I guess our cars are all show and no go for now until the aftermarket indystry starts making better stuff for our cars. Look at how long it took them to make a street legal turbo for the d16

for God's sake people. its "a header"...singular.
you have a 4-cyl car..therefore you have a header.
not headers.

am i gonna have to be the official "header not headers" guy?

i know i know........how was i ragging. just saying that basic mods make 'CRAPTASTIC' RESULTS. They do. Now doing a bunch of craptastic mods, will give you a respectable gain. but regardless. the individual mods produce craptastic results. i'm more into the appearence thing. when i want performance i'll wait....save up oodles of dough and get a swap with a turbo. That being said i love civics....i'm not ragging. and i'll give props to anyone who does all the basic mods and gets good times (high 15's). But still high 15's are still considered slow by and large. but for a N/A 1.7L that aint' half bad. keep up the good work modding your car. i'll stick with the show, you get the go.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I think his definition of "fast" is much faster than 168hp

my friend has a 07 gsx and with an N1 catback, K&N intake, and hks blowoff valve (less than 1 k) he added well over 25 all under 1k. car really boots, gotta love boost

I was talking about him saying

and I made some good gains on a 4 cylinder for $930... 25hp which aint bad for the money

You got a lot of points and posts, maybe you should spend more time on your car than on the forums.

To make real HorsePower you need more than 1 grand? The items I jus posted were over a grand the DC Sports twin can itself is 600 and the header is over 250 alone.
Sorry but I won't let you talkin about a b18c5 like that with your status no way in hell.
You're talkin about a 1.8 and inline fours can't perform without a lot of money.

Even david02civic's brother's camero pulls out weak numbers. And Im not gonna even talkin about buddy club or Toda racing.... :_doh:

And when I say real power..........I am talking about 200whp FWD Hondas.......if your Honda is putting down 200-250Whp......thats real horsepower....not the couple of ponies you get from crappy bolt-ons....

guys who are throwing down 250whp in a FWD Honda are spending REAL money, therefore getting REAL (meaning alot) Horsepower.

And when i said you need more than a grand I meant a hell of alot more than you spent.

Compared to our original 115 or 127 hp, 168 is fast....

It takes alot of money to make ANY honda fast? Ummm well the Prelude, stock, has 200hp, and the S2000,stock as well, has 240hp. Yes, it takes alot of money to make our cars fast, but since when is our car a sports car? Our cars are cheap, economy cars, and therefore have no power.

Oh, and they are both 4 cylinders...

SOHC is from AZ. As if he were in bagdad with a 7thgen. well..i guess he could loot it and a lap top to make the post. and as far as the guy making 168hp at the wheel. Our cars barely do that will IHE and a 50 shot. I say its pretty good for bolt ons.
