Browse this forum a lot, but hardly post. Anyway, here's my 2005 Civic DX Sedan with 176000km, 5 speed.. The stupid smiley face sticker was removed a while ago btw.

I'm a student working part time, minimum wage so it's pretty difficult to progress quickly.

Current to-do list:
Lower it maybe 1.5"? Anyone know is this would look okay?
Get a decent set of rims (After its lowered)
Better exhaust (Preference is Skunk2 or Magnaflow)
4-1 header
Red/Clear taillights (Been looking forever, can't find any online?)
HID Kit
Fog lights
RSX Seats.

Bought it stock with 140,000km

how does it sound without resonator? I recently installed a magnaflow muffler and ive been contemplating whether to remove the resonator or not...

k... there's no such thing as an EM2 sedan....

But this looks like a good start! Not a fan of the black grill on that body color, but everything else is decent. Nice, tasteful exhaust tip.

im guessing like a swarm of angry bees on bath salts. the resonator removes high pitch resonance giving you lower frequency.

It doesn't sound THAT bad :p It's significantly louder and deeper since I've removed the resonator, but I don't usually hear it from the outside. I'm glad I removed it though. It's more noticeable and doesn't sound like shit. My friend had a Magnaflow + No resonator and it sounded awesome, so personally I'd say go for it.


Soo beautiful, but so expensive.

I've been looking through that thread earlier. Looks amazing and makes me want to keep going :p

Fixed, my bad. And thanks, I personally like the grill more than the stock one but I may look into a better grill in the future. For now my priority is getting it lowered. :)

Lol EM2 sedan.
If it has VTEC, it's an ES2, if it doesnt, it's an ES1.

But looking good so far.
I would debadge the civic, remove the shocker, paint the grill and side bumpers, then get some fogs.

Looks like theres a lot of people on this forum from nova scotia

^ agree. Remove the shocker sticker first (its like truck nuts it gives off a bad impression), then paint the grille and sides to match body color.

Since its a Dx its an ES1.

and paint like, the edges of the grill or whatever it is people do? And I really want the side bumpers / mirrors to match the car so I'll be looking into that.

Anyone know if Megan springs are any good? I've read a bit about them but most are mixed opinions.

They are pretty decent.
Better than racelands/rokkors, but cheaper than teins

My only problem with the grill is that everyone seems to have that same one, lol. It would look good if it was painted to match the car. At that point, you'd probably want to consider painting the mirrors, door handles, and side trim as well.

And how did you edit the title of your thread? I still haven't been able to figure that out after a year on the forums, haha :rofl:

When you click edit, click the advanced editing button and you'll have the option to change the thread title. :tup:

I was reading the suspension faq or whatever, about camber kits, struts etc. Is it plausible to put on the springs and replace the struts and all the other stuff like a month down the line? Will I run into any issues? Budget is somewhat tight.

You mean as in lowering springs?
Yeah. You can.

I love Tein S Techs on stock struts till I can afford the Tein Basic coils.

Okay, thanks. I'd like to do everything suspension related in one go but moneys tight haha. I'll check out those as well. New to this so I'm basically down for anything that isn't crap.
