Welcome to the forums

Car looks good!
Not a huge fan of kicker subs/speakers
But they make badass amps

Re: Civic '03 Lx coupe

Thanks guys :P and yeah kicker arent the best sound but imo they are very well built for bass :). Only thing i hate about my car is that its automatic :| im really looking forward into swapping the transmission but thats alot of work/money XD

Re: Civic '03 Lx coupe

Eh, kickers are loud, I give them that, but its not a tight accurate bass imo
Just about every L7 i've heard was loud, obnoxious, and highly distorted

You could do better with running a Rockford Fosgate setup using Kicker amps. They wouldn't be as loud, but they sure as hell sound awesome.

And welcome to the AutoEM2 Club :3
We all wish we had manuals... haha

not me i enjoy my automatic civic i mean its not a sports car and is slow as hell regardless of the transmission the engine is the problem but anyway nice car.

Re: Civic '03 Lx coupe

^ isnt really much about the speed itself, rather than being able to control your car a bit more, when to shift up/down

and saving a bit more gas while you're at it

I just like the feel of a manual more.

i consider manual shifting on a econobox granny car pointless. and im in complete control with my gas, brake and steering wheel ??? i would say im in more control of my car by not being preoccupied by shifting and clutch also my hands dont have to leave the steering wheel.

Auto is fine till you want to do performance mods. Pumping power through the car but not being able to control it properly sucks. Also, they only make k-pro for manuals.

level 10 torque converter, tci rebuild kit and you will smoke any manual. autos are easy to control the only thing you cant do is lock them in 1st which is useless anyway. now that ive gotten good at driving an auto, i think its much better than manual and less distracting too. you can use the gear shift to lock into certain gears so its not always shifting when you dont want it to.

i want that ! hahaha but i still really like the feel of a manual car, you feel more in control (imo, i guess its different for everyone XD)

Re: Civic '03 Lx coupe

thats why most newer super cars are automatic.

Re: Civic '03 Lx coupe

It's cos the human body cannot shift that fast...

But I prefer lambo's 6 speed gearbox if i had a choice

I'd never buy a super car with a manual, not only can you not shift as fast but its just one more thing to focus on.
