My 1997 Civic (New DSLR photos on page 3!)

Hello all,

I'm new to the forums here and thought I'd share some pics of my '97 Civic (DX). It's very modest in terms of modifications and whatnot, but I actually prefer a cleaner, understated look. The pictures were taken right after a full wash, wax, and detail. Hope you guys like it! :)

(I'm most proud of the last pic! :D )

For a 97 that exterior looks flawless! Sweet detailing job, wanna do mine for me, lol

Re: My 1997 Civic [56k warning]

Haha, thanks for the kind words!

This was my first time using Turtle Wax Ice products. I used their soap and spray wax/spray detailer and was extremely impressed. The soap doesn't leave any water spots and doesn't strip off wax. In fact, I noticed more beading after rinsing the soap off. The spray detailer also was impressive in that it doesn't streak, and can be applied in the shade or sun and onto any temperature of a surface. The soap was about $8 and the detailer was about $10, both from Wal-Mart. Definitely worth the extra money and I'll definitely be using these products for a long time.

Good job bringing the paint to life :)

Re: My 1997 Civic [56k warning]

Thanks for all the compliments guys! It's the original paint in case anyone was wondering.

Best part though is that hasn't rained yet and no birds have taken a crap on it since these pics lol (*knocks on wood*).

Oh, and my 6000k HID kit should be here rather shortly, so I'll add some more pics once they're up and running.

Re: My 1997 Civic [56k warning]

Lol, I know, I know. A drop would be sweet. But honestly, this was my grandpa's car and I didn't really have any intentions of modding it whatsoever at first. But when it needed tires, I figured I'd get some rims at the same time. Then I decided to do the red badges. It's like an addiction, all this modifying lol.

In fact, I just installed my 6000k bi-xenon HID's today. My camera makes them look REALLY blue in the first pic, but they're nowhere near that saturated. The second two pics are a more accurate representation.

Outside (my camera is crap at night with something this bright)

Ordered the HID's from www.fashtek.com. Awesome customer service and very prompt shipping. I definitely would recommend them to anyone looking for a kit.

Next up, LED's for my license plate.

On a side note, I got my LED license plate illumination installed today! Looks sweet! I'll see if I can get a decent night pic with my camera.

Thanks!

I must say, the LED license plate illumination is the small, subtle touch that just makes the car unique and clean. It's like the icing on the cake. Although it was unplanned, my HID and LED colors match lol.

I think you meant to say your LEDs aren't as bright as mine?

Anyway, I got them online from www.vleds.com. They're the standard 168 LEDs for 9.99 per pair.
