Need some serious help!!!

So I took out my car for a drive this morning for the first time in a couple of weeks. We've had some really bad weather (rain) here in Miami. When I was turning I heard some swishing in the trunk and when I opened it, there was a huge puddle inside. I don't know how the water got in there and need some help to figure it out so I can resolve this issue. I thought about getting inside and looking to see if I can see some light from the inside out. I thought about having someone get a hose and put water all over my trunk area while I'm inside to see if I see any leaks.....any other ideas would help alot.

Weird, the same thing happened to me on another car I had a long time ago. If the water is in the trunk, then you might have a hole in the weather stripping that goes around the rim of the trunk. That would be my guess. Only other thing I could think of would be an issue/hole/leak whatever with the rear windshield.

looking for light is a good idea, seeing as how our trunks are huge. lol u could even fold the rear seat down so u dont have to get into the trunk.

when you open the trunk to your left side behind the carpeting down towards the bottom there is a breather vent with a flap on it check to make sure that has not gotten stuck open

Curious for the TSB as well. My trunk leaks too and I haven't gotten in there and crawled around to see where it's coming from.

Ninja edit: Mine leaks from the pass. side.

op: do you have a spoiler? i had a friend that got water in his trunk because the spoiler had become separated from the trunk lid.

my second guess would be the weather stripping around the trunk.

foos: i think it is that silly gremlin playing tricks on you.

I think I'm just gonna buy a new eather strip and see. I didn't see any light. Funny/messed up part is the water is so old. Since I hadn't been driving it.
