Skunk2ner's ride, Costa Mesa, CA

I sold my '05 EP3 Civic to save money, but through a series of events, I wound up deciding to buy a brand new 2008 Nighthawk Black Pearl Fit, base model with a 5-speed manual. The cheapest model... but also the lightest weight model.
I have big plans for my new car. Stay tuned for big updates. :2pimp:

The old...

I would have kept the Ep3. The fit is a nice compact car, but why the fit?? Also how are you saving by buying a new car??

Why would you swap k immediately into a brand new, warrantied car??? hmmm... Im kind of interested as to what these plans are, but not very.

eh..the Fit. My friend from school bought one when they first came out. Base model as well. Yes lightweight but the motor in there is clunky. Slow and suffocating. It also doesnt look that great. Well.. it can.

There is no point in upgrading to rims from the dealer if i'm going aftermarket anyway.
Plus the base model has 14" rims stock. Which means lighter weight options for autocross in the stock class. I won't be running 14's on the street for daily driving though.

I had purchased a used car to save money after I sold my EP3. But I was having some issues with it. So I got rid of that and decided to go back to a car with lower mileage. And I loved the Fit, but they cost only slightly more new as they do used, so I bought a new one.
You live, you learn.

So..... you're gonna paint it pink and put a K20 in there right?

I really want a Fit too. Why didn't you get the Sport?

The Sport was $1350 more, and all of the upgrades that come with the Sport are either extra weight and things I don't need (MP3 audio upgraded stereo, cruise control, etc.), or things that I am going to replace with aftermarket parts (wheels, lip kit/bodykit, wing).
That $1350 I saved is going towards aftermarket parts.

well congrats on the color, but im not really feeling the fit, also all of this weight reduction talk, almost seems like your just trying to justify in your head as to why you got a completely basic model new car IMO screw weight reduction, i like to have my cruise control and other lil options. But its just my opinion :P, congrats though if you like it, thats really what matters.

Honestly, I don't like the Fits at all... But hey, if you like, thats all that matters. And what are your big plans?

i could have bought the Sport if i wanted to. they were all over the place, i had to drive out of my way to find this base model.

you guys are free to your opinions and assumptions, but i'm happy with my new car and it will be even better once i get some mods going.

thanks to those of you who offered your congrats.
