Reliability issues? How so TRIZ? My hoopdee in Germany was an '89 730i with the big straight 6 petrol engine. The body was beat to shit - you don't drive a 4-door tank in Germany and not expect to bump into a few stationary objects, but the engine was rock solid. It had 220000 kms on the clock, ran like a Swiss watch - well, a German glockenspiel - and would hum along the autobahn at 240 km/hr like it was taking a walk in the park. I sold it to buddy when I left two years ago and it's still running like a top. I definitely would not say they have reliability issues as long as you maintain them.

http://image.blog.livedoor.jp/mannys...f/bfd98814.JPG http://us.autos1.yimg.com/img.autos....07_440x220.jpg I'm sorry, but damn....how could you pass on the bimmer....its beautiful... My boss has had nothing but problems with his E46. From having shit coming lose in the interior to having to have the transmission replaced about two months ago...I'd have to vote down the BMW. My mother just recently traded in her 05 Maxima for an 08 Outlander...The car never gave her any problems at all. Only reason she did was that she gets a new car every two years... |
Re: 2001 BMW 330CI Sport Package or 2006 Maxima SL true. The bimmer has just been serviced by BMW and recieved a new paint job. All I really have to do is throw some 19" staggerd wheels on there and drop it and i'm set but as for the Maxima, it is very luxury. The console tells me the MPG, how many miles till next oil change/tire rotation, and many other things. Dunno, I guess the bimmer would be a good buy but like I said, it has just been serviced by BMW and a new tranny was put in last month under warranty. Plus a new paint job. Dunno, I'm lost... |
Re: 2001 BMW 330CI Sport Package or 2006 Maxima SL I dunno....yeah, sometimes they do have problems, but my cuz's old e30 was rock solid....i loved that thing....190k on the dial and he ended up selling the thing, still running strong, to get another e30...this time an M3 Sedan.... maybe things changed from the early 90s, but damn, those cars run so strong....theres nothing like the low end torque of a German engine |
Re: 2001 BMW 330CI Sport Package or 2006 Maxima SL lol you post a pic of a bmw lowered with rims, and probably the worst pic for the maxima. Drive both cars and see what you like. trust me the maxima will be alot better car http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...06_13_full.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...06_17_full.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...06_23_full.jpg also the bimmer is 5 years older... |
Re: 2001 BMW 330CI Sport Package or 2006 Maxima SL ^^Exactly what I was thinking. I say Maxima, you'll love it no matter what. The vq35 is an amazing engine, my mom has the 3.5 in her 02 Altima and it just hit 70,000, no problems at all. The Maxima is a good step above the Altima too. I would love to have an M3 but if it was my only car, I wouldn't. |
