New Project Car... DC5! Picked up an 02 DC5 last week. I have a k20a type r swap on the way with mugen 9200 ecu and valve springs. Mugen 05/06 conversion. I have a k20a type r swapped civic, but I'm done with it. No more dumping money into the civic. I've got a new toy now... As you all know.. my friend's DC5 has been my inspiration. Here are some pics of his car.. i'll post mine real soon. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...n/IMG_8121.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...n/IMG_8123.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...n/IMG_8146.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...n/IMG_8154.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...n/IMG_8177.jpg |
Re: New Project Car... DC5! damn dude, so nice. good luck with your new ride, i am sure that it will be great fun. :_bow: |
Re: New Project Car... DC5! nice pick up.. just wondering.. u picked it up just for the looks? |
Re: New Project Car... DC5! ^ too many reasons. Drive one and you'll fall in love with it. If you love the EM2, you'll love the dc5 even more! The car has everything the civic lacks. |
Re: New Project Car... DC5! yea i know.... thats y im torm between saving up for a RSX or swapping or boosting... gah i hate decisions. |
Re: New Project Car... DC5! yea, i think i just might.. been looking to get one recently. how much did u pick it up for? if u dont mind me asking. |
Re: New Project Car... DC5! Wow, those rims are ballsy but damn I like them. |
Re: New Project Car... DC5! Yeah those rims will definietly catch your attention. Congrats and good luck on the new car. |
Re: New Project Car... DC5! i've always liked the dc5's. lately, i've been thinking about trading the civic in for one. if i find a blue type s, it may just happen. congrats on your new project. |
Re: New Project Car... DC5! I saw those on CRSX but are you basically saying that youre gonna have the same engine setup in the dc5 like the one you already have in the civic? |
Re: New Project Car... DC5! green rims......wow that is freaking awesome.... |
Re: New Project Car... DC5! dam thats awesome! 2 k20 r's huh....lucky bastard.....well good luck with it! |
Re: New Project Car... DC5! looks hotness... loose the wing maybe? looks cleaner without just like ur friends car |
Re: New Project Car... DC5! good luck |
Re: New Project Car... DC5! nice...but them rims ugly lol look like someone wants attention... |
Re: New Project Car... DC5! the 80's want their rims back :giggle: jk, both cars are niceee |
Re: New Project Car... DC5! isnt that speedstars rsx also kasim sell me your time attacks :) |
Re: New Project Car... DC5! both looks like 05-06 dc5s |
Re: New Project Car... DC5! Thats not exactly speedstar DC5, its SAi's who works at Speedstar. The one with the green rims is an 05, but the one with the bronze rims is an 02 with an 05/06 conversion. Yes the setup will be exactly the same as my k20a civic. |
Re: New Project Car... DC5! welcome to my world I dumped my boosted civic for my project DC5 its been nothing but fun since |
Re: New Project Car... DC5! Nice! I like your project car except for your rims. It looks like you painted them with a Hi-Lighter http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i5...ger/hitler.jpg  imo, I like the Clean sleeper luxurious Acura RSX's. I dont like when people put H emblems & all those things to look JDM (DC5) not my taste though. Good luck! |
Re: New Project Car... DC5! Why did you waist your money on the mugen ecu when you could have bought k-pro? |

Why did you waist your money on the mugen ecu when you could have bought k-pro? i'm not building my motor so the Mugen ecu and valve springs is sufficient. I'm not planning on counting every whp or building the motor. Mugen can never be a "waist" or waste. I think you meant to say waste. Nothing Mugen makes is a waste. Its a decent ecu that doesn't need tuning and works well with bolt-ons. If I had a motor built from bottom up, I would definately go k-pro. |
Re: New Project Car... DC5! Nice! |
Re: New Project Car... DC5! Its not my car.. its my friend "Danio"s from clubrsx... I personally don't like the Wedsports either but they're freakin' rare. I like the Advan RGII's better.. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19..._9479editS.jpg |
