Re: rear swap done nice man!! i'm looking around for the SI's rear brakes as well! ive been asking around on ephatch.com just before anyone else asks, what all exactly did u need? like the full list.. yea i know it can be found searching, but people will still ask i bet you |
Re: rear swap done man those look good. what are u dropped on..if u are at all. ur front looks kidna low but the rear looks kinda stock... and what size are ur wheels.? |
Re: rear swap done i needed the rear spindels, hubs, rotors and calipers.also the rsx ebrake cable.im dropped on tein springs and sitting on 215/35 r18.the back has one jack under it still but for some reason the rear on mine always looks higher.anyone know why?can you put the shock in the back backwards?a shop did mine but they say its good.any help? |
Re: rear swap done also im not sure but what do the spindles/knuckles look like? |
Re: rear swap done where you get em?! |
Re: rear swap done i picked up my 02 rsx rear for $180 over here |
Re: rear swap done did you honestly feel a difference in braking? i know there has been some debate about changing the master cylinder to that of an RSX or Civic SI. i'm assuming you didnt do this? so how about your input? |
Re: rear swap done nice.. i paid 500 for mine so now i feel kinda gipped.. lol.. oh well.. looks good |
Re: rear swap done $500???! Damn, i just picked mine up for $250 last night. |
Re: rear swap done anyone know anyone with a ep3 that wants to sell them to me?? or even a good site to buy em? |
Re: rear swap done i posted a want ad on ephatch.com and got a response within a couple hours |
Re: rear swap done while we are on this topic, can you swap in ep3 or rsx rear setup? |
Re: rear swap done both eps and and rsx will fit.no i didnt do the master swap but once i can get on i will.braking does feel different.and my ebrake is strronger it seems.try ephatch to get them.i got mine from a member here.had to drive 3 hours to get them but i wanted them. |
Re: rear swap done ^^^ so you would say that braking now with the rear disc set up is better now, than when you had the drums? i'm only asking this because i have the rear disc swap sitting in my garage, and i'm debating whether i should even put them on or not. |
Re: rear swap done yeah i dont have to mash the brakes to stop.its a slight difference.plus i like the way a rotor and caliper look behind my rear wheel.its better than that ugly drum. |

Also you all i have put up a want ad on ep3hatch.com and its been a week without a reply :/ |
Re: rear swap done i signed up on ephatch like a month ago and within 5 mins i had myself a set for $220 shipped there isnt a real difference in braking, just looks a whole lot better |
Re: rear swap done man everyone else must have better luck than me |
Re: rear swap done i found a set on clubrsx. but you will have to get si hubs and rotors.the guy told me 300 shipped for them.that was two days ago ill try to get him again. |
Re: rear swap done i found a whole swap including the front and rear disc swap for 500 obo.not bad.i saw on here that you can get 5 lug swap with oem axels so you might wanna look that up. |
Re: rear swap done We've debated the performance gains when swapping to a rear disc brake in another thread a while back, and the consensus seems to be that the brake performance is in fact increased still utilizing the master cylinder. I discovered a while back from a guy at my shop saying that disc brakes use less brake fluid pressure then drums. I'm sure that if you were to upgrade to disc, and then upgrade to big brakes then it'll be even more of an increase, but just stock discs is without a doubt better then drums. |
Re: rear swap done ^^^makes sense... |
Re: rear swap done i think robearracing.com or truehonda has rear brake conversion. Talk to eddie |

Re: rear swap done sorry to ask again, but just to make sure i told this guy everything i need, tis the rear spindles(knuckles),hubs, rotors and calipers, then the e-brake cable. right? |
Re: rear swap done spindles/ knuckles, si hubs to stay 4 lug, rotors, calipers, brake lines from the calipers to the body, calipers should come with this if you get from the junkyard, and rsx ebrake cables.btw i have some extra rsx cables for sale. |
Re: rear swap done FYI. Going from stock brake ( fronts) to AEM BBK, you would actually gain distance brake (or whatever you call it) which is a no good. but still it looks cool! |

Re: rear swap done yep, the Big brake rotors not the ones that's the same size on our stock. (if same size then yes, it will help) Totally forgot the explanation but it has something to do with the size and all. this was covered plenty of times here. I am pretty sure someone can explain it like boilermaker or gearbox even. |
