Out the paint shop

Well I got my car out the shop..... here are some pictures.
The pictures really suck, I took them in my driveway because it was about to rain. I will have some better pictures later.

Thanks for the comments. The car is a show car (i don't drive around with a green civic all the time, i drive that white car in the background :giggle: ), but I tried to keep the body as clean and simple as possible.

Haha yea. The car was wrecked when I got it, so all the airbags were deployed. I just never got around to getting a new steering wheel. I plan to get one after I finish my motor build.

Re: Out the paint shop

Yeah, Thank god this a show car cause I was a bit scared. Def clean though, paint job is nice. But like most said, not my style.

Re: Out the paint shop

Car is unique whats up with the rear plate? looks funky like that.

trurace 06-27-2007 01:13 AM

Re: Out the paint shop

^^^^ My brother and I built the car. He always like the shaved plate thing, so he decided to do it. I really really didn't want to do it, but he did it anyway.......... w/e it came out nice and it cleaned up the car a lil bit.. so I like.

My brother deals with the body work. I deal with the engine work. I usually try to talk him out of getting to crazy with the body stuff and try to get him to keep it nice and clean....... so ^^^^ thats what we came up with

And thats my life story:)

It's a manual, has a clutch pedal.

Car flows together real well, I'd have to get use to that green. Not my choice but hey its different, and that gets attention.

Re: Out the paint shop

Yea well I had Z3 fenders, but one of the inserts flew off while I was driving lol. I just took them out, and I planning on putting the OEM fenders back on but I just haven't got around to it.

Yea the same shop did the interior. I just took all the interior out sand and primed it and gave it to my painter

The car was an automatic, but I did a manual swap

The trunk area I just have an 8" fosgate he series (i think) and a fosgate 1000rms mono amp

Ummm.... as far as engine mods. Right now I am boosting 8psi. And my turbo set up:
PCS XFC
Garret t3/t4 a.r.63
dezod mani
dezod down pipe
tial wastegate
ebay intercooler
custom intercooler piping
greddy typeR BOV
custom dual 2.25" exhaust

some old pics:

even if it is green it's still probably pretty quick. You'll get respect for that if nothing else.

Whats up Paul. I take it the move went well??

I still don't really know whats wrong with the car, but I haven't really had much time to play around with the car, it went into the pait shop a couple days after you tuned it. Im pretty much stumped. Sometimes it runs perfect and then two seconds later the car will overheat . I dono, but I need to figure it out befor I make the drive up to orlando for HIN.

Sorry again for having the car break down in the middle of no where. lol I still feel really bad about that. Good luck at your new location. And I will be getting at you soon for parts for my motor build

Re: Out the paint shop

definitely not my style...but it is clean as hell and I give you major props for not slacking. i cannot count how many shitty paint jobs ive seen on "show" cars...you should get quite a few trophies with that setup. Just out of curiosity, how much the paint job cost?

..now you just need a new steering wheel.

Re: Out the paint shop

That's straight dude, I love your ride inside and out. I really like that color. Interior is friggin SLICK man. A lot of people don't like that style around here, but that's right up my ally, well with the exception of how much I'm interested in Spo-com type JDM parts, if anyone catches my drift... That's mad cool that your brother hooked you up with all the body work. I got a question for you, PM sent. Props big time.

Yea, the car is a monster until 6000rpm hahaha. But, I have an LX head laying around that I might send up to you for a PNP. But I dono, I am kind of torn between buying a new car or building my motor????..... But I will let you know before the end of the summer.

Im thinking about buying a TC, so you'll be hearing from me either way :)

Yea I still remember. I didn't have time to take the pics today, but tomorrow I get them to you.

But I did get a chance to look at them and all I really did was wrap all the wires up with electric tape and bring them inside the door
