Re: k20a2 swap...Another socks member soon... hm...always wondered how much trimming it took to make that thing fit. Does the manifold hit the hood at all or no? |

I figured if i spent all this money, might as well as do it right the first time and get all i can out of it. |
Re: k20a2 swap...Another socks member soon... yes trimming on the hood is required for it to clear the sensors on top of the TB and a little trimming where the p/s pulley is |
Re: k20a2 swap...Another socks member soon... oh i already knew the trimming on the hood for hte power steering pulley, thats why i got the EPS, so i wouldn't have to cut the under hood skeleton. Did you use a PRC or a PRB manifold on your old set up? i'm looking to buy a PRC IM |
Re: k20a2 swap...Another socks member soon... Type S and EP3 Mani are the same and clear with no problem... the RBB will also fit... its the RBC one that requires triming.. also if you plan to use a DUAL runner type mani then you need to trim also |
Re: k20a2 swap...Another socks member soon... no what i wanted to know really was basically do you have a PRC IM for sale? the type R manifold |

So basically if I'm running the plastic dual runner IM, then the RBC will fit no problem? the part you have to trim away for the dual runner to fit is on the left side of the upper radiator support. If you look on the mani on the left of it you will see a big ass round solenoid thingy... thats the thing that will hit the supprt.. so you kinda need to trim that area... on the rbc the area you need to trim more of is to the right of the mani near the TB area |
