What do you think of me doing this?

My car looks a little different than this now but I still have the same wheels...

Sportmax 922 Chromium Black..they aren't silver, or chrome or black they are right in the middle of them all. They have a shine to them but also that darkness to them too

FreedomEagle 03-14-2007 03:52 PM

and im not saying buy them im just saying what the color is. chromium black

Taffy 03-14-2007 03:53 PM

^ That looks good, give me an idea, thanks.

Damn, it's gonna take some balls to take some sandpaper to my wheels. :o

LT2004ever 03-14-2007 06:21 PM

go for the darker rims, they'll look nice

blackonblack 03-14-2007 06:33 PM

either way looks good IMO but the darker wheels would look better if headlights were blacked out..

MURDOCK 03-14-2007 07:13 PM

Nice OEM rims, I say do it!

Just take your time and do a good job and you'll be happy with the results I'm sure.

Another small project that will make those rims POP!!

Is paint those brake calipers red.

DsevenEm2 03-14-2007 07:38 PM

jamis33 03-14-2007 07:52 PM

i thought that darker color the black chromium was called Hyperblack. I wanted a set of hyperblack rims so bad. Its kinda like a dark chrome. in the light it looks chrome but when you look at it closer u see its almost black. Best color ever.

Painting stock snowflake Integra wheels black
Current mood: satisfied
Category: Automotive

First we preped the wheels with a degreaser, then ruffed them up with a red scouring pad. Then taped up thee surounding area.(use papers towles to cover the rotors and caliphers)

All ready to paint, We did 2 coats of black 10-15 mins in between coats. Three coats of Clear coat 10-15 minutes inbetween coats as well.

Now For the test Drive...

Ran into a little trouble on the way.. Ticketed for 19mph over, 1mph more and Ide be skrewed and almost got ticketed for street racing! whats with that! So Im happy with my ticket could have been worse..

Notice the copious amount of prep work involved...He didn't even bother to take the wheel off the car or mask off the tire...Just went and sprayed the wheel on the car!

:_doh: :_doh: :_doh:

RHCP0801 03-14-2007 09:33 PM

i guess painting your tire is cool these days :_please:

phuviano 03-15-2007 12:00 AM
