Which Body Kit should I choose?

Ive been going over this for quite some time and im still not sure what to go with...
So I figured I would ask and get peoples opinion on which body kit they might think.

I have a 2001 Black Civic 2 door.

Here are 2 links to which ones im thinking about, but Im open for suggestion.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...5424739&rd=1,1

Im also thinking about the R34 kit as well.. not sure though.
Thanks for helping out.

you should get the honda factory lip kit, if you wanna be a ****en ricer these are perfect for you

MotorWeb EM2 02-05-2007 02:36 PM

the second link is the same thing as the r34 kit. i would go with that one because the rear bumper on the first kit looks dumb. ive seen them in person and i think it just looks really weird. just my 2cents

jjdm 02-05-2007 02:40 PM

not a big fan of body kits, you should get the oem lip kit imo

Kevbotron 02-05-2007 02:42 PM

Have you thought about lip kits instead? they look cleaner than body kits imo... but if I had to pick a body kit I'd take the tsunami one:shrug:

I have to agree with Kev on this one... The Tsunami kit is nice or the Xenon kit is nice too.

Personally if you don't want to spend more money in the long run I would spend the extra money now and buy a polyurethane (plastic) kit. Rather than the ones you are looking which are fiberglass.

speakeasy 02-05-2007 02:55 PM

personally, i think the whole ricer/bodykit thing is way out of style. the ricers dont even rock bodykits anymore. if you wanna do a big investment on ur car like a bodykit, think about getting something more subtle. something that wont piss you off or make you cringe when you get older.

mugenman 02-05-2007 02:57 PM

i say no kit at all, but after dealing with fiberglass kits i can tell you they suck and almost never line up right, so unless you have the know how to get it to flow with the body i say go urethane. the better the quality of the kit the better its gonna fit, which means the more ya spend the less headache your gonna deal with. tsunami FTW my friend

slickstarnz 02-05-2007 03:09 PM

1st one is def rice, and the second one everybody and their mom has. I agree with going with the factory lip kit. nice and clean lines that match the body

sl33pyriceboi 02-05-2007 03:25 PM

man no offense, if u think those bodykits look good....

you've got some nasty ass taste....look at them...i mean...they NASTY and totally stupidly rice looking....

dust 02-05-2007 03:43 PM

dude oem lip kit for sure. They already come factory matched painted so u will save upwards of 600 bucks. So ur spending around the neighborhood of 700 for all the pieces. I am sick of seeing all those weird painted civics with bumpers and side skirts 'waiting' to be painted.

notoriouspyro 02-05-2007 03:44 PM

first 1... No
2nd 1. I have it, it's ok.

Unless you are actually planning to show your car and start dropping some major money into it, just go with a lip or leave it stock. I've cracked my kit twice and that means re-painting. Make sure that you go to a good shop if you get it done because, yeah, fiberglass kits almost never sit perfectly. They need extra work to line up.

Oh yeah, this is the wrong place to ask about anything... Period. Don't listen to 99% of the people on here cuz they're gonna quickly give you the FU opinion. As I tell everyone that gets flamed on here... You do whatever you want. It's your car and ain't none of these people gonna be driving it but you. Do what makes you happy.

sl33pyriceboi 02-05-2007 04:04 PM

plus if u get the oem ones, its polyurthane...and thast awesome for a dropped car thats a daily driver

hondoer27 02-05-2007 04:47 PM

Go for a LIP KIT!!!!!!!

Lip kit fit better and have a cleaner look

Body kit tend not to fit as well and have a very extreme look

estebomb_ftw 02-05-2007 05:04 PM

Kaminari lip kit.

blouisgod 02-05-2007 05:06 PM

Im selling an octane/ r34 kit for cheap in the Florida section if you are interested.

soldierboi 02-05-2007 05:58 PM

get what ever you want. its ur car anyway and if u dont like the kit or u realize that they are not that great then get another style that u like...personally i think lip kits on our civics are sexier than body kits...you came here to get opinions so you gonna get different responses so dont take it personally.

sl33pyriceboi 02-05-2007 08:34 PM

^ well said

enjoitofer 02-05-2007 08:38 PM

i say cf front lip oem side skirts no back lip.. clean

AmbulanceMonkee 02-05-2007 08:42 PM

neither, get a lip kit. unless you have a true show car, with a bunch of other stuff done, i'd stay away from body kits.

PitchBlack 02-06-2007 03:23 AM

Like a few other people have said...do whatever you want...who gives two sh*ts what we think...its your car... I'm going body kit...a bunch of people have gone lip kits...why I keep typing three periods then moving on I have no clue either...good luck...

LiKEaFeRiO 02-06-2007 03:50 AM

The first kit is a copy of the Bomex kit.
Bomex USA

Never eBay a body kit...it'll be disappointment in a giant box.

kronickz 02-06-2007 07:02 AM

lip kits are def. cleaner if you get a nice drop but if I were you, I wouldn't buy a body kit that didn't say "perfect fitment" or "guarantee fitment" because it is just gonna fit like a.s.s. and your going to run into fitment problems, bumpers bubbling up, buldging. You don't want that, spend the extra $100 and get the perfect fitment if the body kit is the way you're going to go, if not, a Type-RS front lip is sexy.

oh yeah, if i had to choose a body kit, I would get the Buddy Club 2, just my 2cents

myinca 02-06-2007 01:22 PM

im have a polyurathane r34 kit, will ship, check ur pms

o1Hcivc06 02-06-2007 01:42 PM
