What suspension do you have? What tire size? I plan on purchasing wheels in March. With the wheels, I am going to go with some type of lowering spring. Right now I am trying to decide between Tein and Neuspeed. My biggest fear right now is not about how well the car is going to ride because I'm more about look then how it rides <---- If heads turn my job is done!!! I guess what I am trying to say is I am looking at purchasing a set of 18'' wheels wrapped in a 215/40/18 tire. What type of suspension should I get that will give me about a 2 finger gap and will not rub. If you have a similar setup on your civ please post pics with suspension setup details!!! THANKS!!!!

Def get the 215/40/18s. I am running the same size now, and its pretty comfortable. Still little rough, but not as bad as the 35 series. I am on Goldline springs(1 3/4 in drop) and koni yellows. I do not rub, my fenders are not rolled, and even on stock struts i didn't rub. I am barely tucking in the back, and probably a 1 finger gap up front.

If I were to get new springs I wouold get eibach. From the ones you listed, tein would be my choice. I have been very happy with goldlines though, ride was very smooth, just wish the back had less of a drop to even it all around.

i had B&G full coilovers on 225/40/18

I wear 215/35's and I really like the low-profile look. The ride is harsh I admit. But I run slammed on TEIN Basic Coilovers, no finger gap in the back, barely any gap in the front. It's tough in and out of driveways and stuff, but no one can believe how low it is.
Remember, you rims look bigger with a smaller tire. I like my 35's even though the ride is rough, I like it. Makes the rims look nice n' phAT, ha ha jk, no but seriously.

i believe the 215/40s will be your best bet. The 40 series are very comfortable, even with it being lowered. Yes I have ridden in cars with 15s to 19s and i dont care what anyone says, I wouldn't have my civic with any thing other than 215/40s.

I have 225/35/18's on my car with sportline springs and koni yellows. I like having more sidewall since I live in a area with a lot of potholes. My rear fenders are rolled. I can't fit my finger between the fenders in the front or the back. To keep them from rubbing the camber is very negative all around. Speaking of a camber kits, they are must for any aftermarket wheels. No exceptions get a camber kit!

I run 215/40/18's w/ Eibach 1.4 Pro-line drop springs, front camber kit and Neuspeed front upper strut bar.:)

You're an idiot. My job is done.

I'm running 215/35/18 on my EM2, this is the proper size for this car. If you defer from this size at all, your odometer and speedometer will be off. This combination is the same rolling diameter as the stock tire size on the car. I also have Tein S-Tech springs, I find it's fine in the front with a 2 finger gap but I rub like **** in the back because I'm on stock struts and the tire is too wide to fit up into the wheel well. It always catches the fender on the outside of the tire, I have to roll my fenders. Here are some pictures.
