First Time Posting Pics (56k watch out)
 

Hey guys this is my first time posting pics so please be nice. I took these on christmas day. Rims, exhaust and bodywork are coming very soon. I'm also lookin at rear disc brake conversion. Post up some ideas. I know i need to clean up my engine alot and finish my trunk well all i have to do is cut my carpet in. Also lemme know how u think the pics turned out. I got a new camera for christmas its a Nikon L3

tail lights= :nono: nice job on the headlights... you should consider taking off the pine stripe & muddies...nice trunk setup...nice camera.. :tup:

The color blue is cuz of the flash. Its not really that light in real life. But just so you know i'm prolly gonna repaint all of it a darker blue when I find some in the right shade. I had it dark blue before and it was soo dark it looked black. I know the tails are rice but i kind of like them. I'm thinkin of smokin em out or blacken em out. Im definantly gonna take my stripe and mud flaps off in spring when i get my bodywork done. I've got a full bodykit so the muddies will be gone.

Anybody got any suggestions on how i can clean up the engine?

o and BTW i built that whole trunk setup myself so thanks

What do you guys think of doin a black vinyl roof?

Headlights are great work, trunk is good, but I would not paint the motor parts, not put the M mirrors on and blacked out or not use the taillights.. My opinion..

focus more on performance before looks in my opinion

take off those tails and put the stock ones back on, those looks horrible on a silver yet any color civic. Engine bay color...meh. The mirrors look out of place since you have no other cf on the car and ditch those side moldings and drop that bitch

im only 16 and can barely drive so i think im gonna stay away from performance for now cuz performance is just askin for a ticket. I went performance with my intake and got a K&N. A lot of people on this site say they're crap but ive noticed a lot better performance at higher rpms. I like this one the 57i much better than the FIPK. I wanna have a car i can just have fun in that looks cool. I'd like to have a showy car thats why i bought a bodykit. O and just so everyone knows i am planning to "drop that bitch" in the spring when i get my rims and bodykit. And also maybe its cuz im young and all rice at heart i dont mind the tails even on silver.

im also 16 and so far i have only spent money on a headunit and the rest performance (intake, short shifter, and a new clutch)

get a lip kit, no body kit

i wanted a lip kit but everybody has a lip kit and i want a car that looks unique and different from every other modified 7th gen on this site. I got a cwest bodykit which is pretty rare. And i plan to buy a stage 1 clutch when this clutch is done. Also i dont wanna go too hardcore on performance cuz i dont see that much of a point. You pretty much have to boost the shit out of and go overkill on your d17 to maybe make 200whp, and a swap would prolly cost as much as i paid for the car. I'll stick with this as my showy car and use my dad's trans am (remembering im still 16 and yes i do live with my parents still) which has a corvette 350 in it when i want performance

If you plan to go "all-rice", then vinyl top with you current rear lights will work fine, you'll also need ironing board type spoiler.
To dress up engine bay you can use elctric supercharger.

I'm just joking.

You started well with your trunk, now continue that trent and do the following:

Leave CAI, but put everything under the hood back to stock look.
Sell/trade you aftermarket lights for lowering springs.
Buy decent 15", 16" or 17" rims.
Some custom 2.25" catback with 2.5" (or so) exhaust tip.
Shave off side mouldings.

That should keep you occupied for now.

Ok im lookin at lowering springs rite now and hopefully getting 17" rims very very soon i'm thinkin either gunmetal or hyperblack with a polished lip. I really like hyperblack but they're fairly difficult to find. Im gettin a custom axleback with a 3" tip for now then I might upgrade to a catback later on.

your doing a good job im only 17 and the ricer stage does come out on you wen i first bought my vic i had altezzas on it and liked em so not to long ago i got some stock ones and im loving it now. it looks bette i myself think. but man boy you got a lot of rust under your hood . and take the color off engine bay and so far everything is sounding good on wat you wanna do. jus keep it up and stay awayt from the flea market where they sale rice

how do i get rid of all that rust? do i have to replace all the nuts?

hey man, u got a pretty good start. The only thing i have advice for u is...(u gotta do this for sure!) take the mirrors off, and go to a shop and get them painted the same color as ur car. I got mirrors off of ebay (that look alot like urs but they arnt M3 look, mine are G2 look) . Anyways, I got mine on ebay and they came in that fake carbon fiber look like yours, and i just got them painted and put on my car and it looks SOOO MUCH BETTER!


Seriously, painting those will make your car stand out for sure. (and make it look alot cleaner) ;)

Everyone said what I was going to say really haha. Lose the tails, lose the mirrors, side moldings and keep the engine bay the color it was stock. Trunk setup is nice and blacked out headlights are good though. Instead of getting a body kit, you could get a lip kit and put different pieces together. That's what I'm doing kind of, so it doesn't look like everyone elses. Lip kits are perfect with a drop. Then, some rims. Would look nice man.
