strip the entire interior down so theres nothing but the steering colum and a egg crate to sit on get rid of all the windows and every body panel thats bolted down, you should notice a difference then other than that i got nothing

RHCP0801 12-28-2006 06:06 PM

wait no one asked this, what are you racing?

2k3civicSSM 12-28-2006 06:18 PM

He's not racing against anyone, looks like he's just going to the track since he said he wants to "improve" on his time.

spare tires, headlights, hood, trunk, carpet, seats, seatbelts ,cd player, dash its all overrated.

no1_suspek 12-28-2006 06:23 PM

RACING a 2004 SE-R SENTRA ihatespecs!!!!! THANKS FOR THE FEED BACK GUYS!!!

aznprid214 12-28-2006 06:24 PM

i would suggest:
1) spare tire
2) subs if have it
3) run high octane but minimal gas amount
4) lower tire pressure a little bit

rather than that, just work on your reaction time. That's where you can gan the most. GL man. im waiting till my track reopens down here too. gotta go work on my eighth mile time

dp_yz713 12-28-2006 07:03 PM

i think you should strip yourself from the race...............you are going to get your ass whipped

spoonEM 12-28-2006 07:05 PM

^word.

Make sure you get rid of your flux capacitor, blinker fluid tank and muffler bearings....those things weigh a TON.

ronaldo9 12-28-2006 07:19 PM

You'll get a couple cars from the start if you launch well but as soon as your buddy hits 3rd gear... SEE YOU LATER. That car pulls VERY HARD UP TOP. I know bc I raced my buddy's Spec V but we were both stock. Either way good luck and get some vids for us all to watch.

Kevbotron 12-28-2006 08:09 PM

dont forget to be fast and/or furious

_unclejuice 12-28-2006 08:34 PM

dude, if its a d17, dont go through the trouble. when i first got mine i ripped out the back seat, everything in the trunk, my wife, passenger seat. it didnt do anything. even in a high hp car youre only going to get about a tenth of a second for every 100 pounds you shed. hard to lose a lot of weight off a street driven car.

sl33pyriceboi 12-28-2006 11:52 PM

seriously man, you can probably install a turbo before u finish stripping all those stuff out...

d17=slow

but if u do decide to stip ur car like mad....more power to you =]

sicivic01 12-29-2006 08:06 PM

i don't know what you guys are talking about getting whooped by a se-r sentra. i raced my buddy's se-r spec v last summer and i took him by a car. i only have an aem sri and a ractive muffler custom w/ custom piping. tein s tech springs too.

HyeHonda05 12-29-2006 09:09 PM

I've seen my friends 03 Si get pwned by a SE-R Spec v.....both had I/H/E...those things have gobs of torque........good luck with ur race....

kuNhoHan 12-29-2006 09:24 PM

It must be your Autozone exhaust (aka "Ractive") muffler with custom piping that gave you the winning edge.

Did his car have gas?

kuNhoHan 12-29-2006 10:44 PM

I give props!!!

Eeeeeeh 12-29-2006 10:55 PM

Don't do it man, you'll get beat. I had I/H/E on my EX and consistently got beat up top by a Spec V. Once you hit 3rd gear, its over.

If you guys are equal drivers, you will lose.

dp_yz713 12-29-2006 11:30 PM

haha..........thanks for whoever repped me, should leave your name so I could return the favor

7psicivic 12-30-2006 12:19 AM

ohhh ya to go along with the blinker fluid and muffler bearing dont forget about the knifler pin or u wont spin all 4 tires....

Dishwasher 12-30-2006 12:59 AM

Drain all your fluids, that should shave off a lot of your time. Oil, Brake Fluid, Tranny Fluid, Gas, Wiper Fluid, Flux Capacitor Juice etc.

tougEMII 12-30-2006 01:06 AM

racing is bad!!!...anyways....se-r are pretty quick...raced my friends with intake ehaust...got him off the launch and jus pulled with his VTACK in third...hmm if i were to race a vspec, id ask for some space and id be dandy.

tougEMII 12-30-2006 01:08 AM

oh yeah...if anything, jus click the link in my sig if u wanna see the difference between good driver and bad driver
