MY CAR WAS A VICTIM OF A HIT AND RUN **pix inside**

heres the story..i went home (corpus christi tx.) for thanksgiving...and met up with a few friends..and i left my car where i thought it'd be safe for a few hours...and when i got back i found it like this

http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f3...1/100_0121.jpg
http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f3...1/100_0119.jpg
http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f3...1/100_0117.jpg

in person you can see that theres a crease running down the middle of it...sooooo im thinking a lifted truck maybe backed into it..and spilt..!! :_disgust:

goodtimes 11-26-2006 12:02 PM

**** dude i would be so pissed off thats hella messed up they dident leave a note or anything?

what are you going to do about it?

gmag21 11-26-2006 12:03 PM

damn that sucks

RogerB 11-26-2006 12:03 PM

Probably some woman driving a huge SUV or pickup that doesn't realize how big their vehicle is. Sucks to be you...

Looks like it's just the door, though. Easier fix than if they crumpled your rear panel.

CuRiOuSfIsH 11-26-2006 12:13 PM

sorry that happened to you
stupid question, was that where and how you parked?

join the hit-n-ran-into squad! happened to me too! some lifter truck couldnt back out, and hit my rear 1/4 panel. i parked up close at our mall. so i park in the middle of no-where. and if i get hit, im crow-barring someone's car!...jk...but maybe!

blackonblack 11-27-2006 07:20 PM

i know the feeling my car got hit in front of my own damn house! it was super deep cost me nearly $2500 to get fixed i was super choked. so from now on i park in the garage and my dad parks on the street.

estebomb_ftw 11-27-2006 07:33 PM

Damn bro that sucks. Hope you find a door around town. I'll look around and if I find anything, I'll hit you up.

I always park my car in the back around San Antone. Too many idiots around here. My cars been shot with a CO2 gun, so now I got a dent that's rusted from it. And my cars been keyed a little. And someone opened their door and hit mine. So, I park away from everyone and when I park near people I look at their license plates just incase. :]

Got a site. Try if you haven't already.

eni9ma 11-28-2006 12:36 AM

Dang that's one major dent, you think Dent Wizard can take that out? :hgrin: But seriously that must suck. I thought I would help you out so I went to www.car-parts.com to see if there were any doors and sure enough I found about 5 or so in silver in around TX.

http://car-part.com/cgi-bin/search.c...erPage=1&iKey=

Hope that helps :sweet:

TemjinX2 11-28-2006 01:04 AM

yeah your probably right. It looks like its from a lifted truck with a chrome bumper or something, since there no paint from the other vehicle on your car.

If there some paint of the other car you can probably track down the manufacturer and model, then again everyone drives a truck or suv in texas, at least when i went there.

Good luck on fixing up the 7th gen.

NORCAL CIVIC 11-28-2006 02:05 AM

damn bro im so sorry that happened id kick em in the face!!!!!

EggRollBandit05 11-28-2006 03:45 AM

Wow that dent almost looks like someone ran into it not a car I mean like a person or something or maybe someone kicked it??? I dont know theres no paint or scratches. Just hope everything turns out well for you

xkimsungminx 11-28-2006 04:14 AM

ouch! hope things work out and you get that covered through insurance!

similar thing happened to my friend's 07 SI 2 weeks ago, except... the towing company did it to his car?? hahah i say they're pretty retarded. the damaged looked really similar to that and was only on the door luckily.

well now since his dad just so happens to own an auto mechanic/auto body shop :), his dad decided to just replace the door completely and not bother with cutting sheet metal on a brand new car so he charged the towing company a good amount for the damage hahaha, serves them right for being careless.

TRIZ 11-28-2006 04:25 AM

Looks like what happened to my dads car just a few weeks ago. He took it to the body shop and they rolled the door back out to how it should be. The coupe doors should be cheaper to fix because they dont have the indent most doors have for the side molding- thats the tricky spot. Anyways, yours is actually in pretty good condition for getting it fixed. You should REALLY look into how much it might cost to get it fixed, its all labor.

btw, did you not have insurance that covers dipships?
