new mods

Just got my 02 civic coupe ex tinted...35 percent on the front windows and 25 in the back...ill post pics soon. Also ordered from street levelperformance.com an exedy organic stage 1 clutch as well as the act streelite flywheel.........what type of change in performance can I expect from these upgrades on my trans, minimal to none?

did you need a new clutch?

PunkingCivic 11-07-2006 04:59 PM

Congrats

Driveability is similar to the stock clutch. Pedal efforts will be slightly higher because of the higher clamp loads. Also, all their clutch discs have spring center dampers to reduce drivetrain shock. The ACT flywheel will help provide significantly improved engine response, acceleration

yes....I do need a new clutch.....and I having the bearings replaced as well..I was having an awful sound......so while it is open I am replacing everyting

as far as daily drivability i think the stock flywheel is better. with the act you have to launch and start out at a higher rpm and you also need to keep the rpms up high when shifting or you will bog down. flywheels are great but better for higher hp cars. the pedal feel isnt much different than stock. a little stiffer but still nice.

yea i woulda kept the stock flywheel, the ACT clutch is s good buy...

I got a ACT streetlite and organis ACT clutch and I don't like the way my car drives now, Your front end is going to shake if you don't rev enough. I like the stock flywheel better. Don't expect too much.

not to high jack, but u guys would recomend the stock flywheel with an ATC clutch? (for daily driving on NA cars)

the clamping power of the clutch you get should depend on the power level you want to achieve. if your only going to do basic bolt ons then stick to a stg 1 act or exedy organic. drivability isnt much different than stock but can support about 50% more power
