F**K!! floor mats soaked wit soapy water

what should i do about it! mayn one of my little cousins spilled alooooot of soapy water in my civic on the passenger side i thought only the mat was wet until i lifted the carpet to be sure and what a suprise the whole underside is soaked!!:hithead: i soaked up most of it with old rags but what can i do to get rid of any scent or mildew that may form?

use one of those carpet cleaner vacumes things and then leave the doors open to let it dry heh or use a hair dryer

pull in the garage and angle one of thoes space heaters on the passanger side to heat it up, a hair dryer would take way too long.

Febreze like a mofo

fabreze does the trick all the time! use it everyday in the dorm room!!!!!! I LOVE COLLEGE! lol

TRIZ 11-01-2006 10:51 PM

nah, its not fabreeze...

dry it out, and then scrub it clean with a sponge. There will be a slight amount of soap left over... just scrub it, let it air dry if your garage isnt too cold, or put the space heater on low overnight... should be good, its how I got my stuff dry after I cleaned my carpets. The smell of soap will stick around for a while, but after 2 weeks it should be totaly gone.
