maybe getting a new Fit I'm serriously considering selling my EM2 and getting a new Fit Sport. My girl wants to buy my car and sell her saturn wagon (that car sucks so much balls, you cant possibly believe it) but she has to learn to drive stick first. What do you all think, am I nuts? i feel nuts. I'm probably nuts. |
tell her to buy the fit... |
the fit are fvcking awesome for what it has to offer compare to its competitors. if i am into that segment or needed to buy a compact car, i would totally get the fit no questions ask. oh yeh, tell ur biz, get the fit instead. haha. J/k |
LOL just tell her she has been using a stick for along time now she should be used to it.....jk man. I like the fit too but the headlights are just too big they stick out too much. Other than that I like em and I say go with what you are feeling. Or maybe go test drive one. |
get her the fit |
Buy her a fit sport. She'd love it. Quite a bit of head room despite the outside look. I like it. |
the fit is slow as hell though |
very true. Needs a k20a2. would be kick ass with as light as it is. |
It has a TINY fuel tank, not a bad car tho |

the fit is very cool for the price |
Especially if you're an employee!!! :-P |
Why not getting a civic si hatch? http://www.uncrate.com/men/images/ho...c-si-hfp-2.jpg |
i drove a fit sport, its fun for fuel sipper, but i would never buy one. |
I say keep your em2. The fit is a neat car though. I like it, but I would never trade in my em2 for one. |
i think they're as fast as our cars, the sport is like 0-60 in 8.6~ |
yeah I drove one a while back and it was a quick as my civic stock, just had to shift a bit earlier. drive by wire is a little weird to get used to but not a big problem, i mean corvettes use it. She cant get a loan for the fit. No Si hatch cause I want the extra doors and better milage. I work in photography and hauling stuff and equipment is a pain in my EM2. The stick shift lesson went really well though, she picked it up very quickly. We stil arent decided on what to do and the honda dealer still doesnt know when they can get me one. |
Nissan Versa has a bigger engine and paddle shifters right? |
Versa has a 6 speed tranny!!! |
The Fit Sport has paddle shifters, too. Oh, and there's some company that has indeed swapped a K20 into a fit, complete with a carbon ITB system. Quite amazing. Think it was featured in Super Street, actually. |
it was on the cover of super street. the versa has 6 speed but have you looked at it? or worse, driven it? not to mention more gears arent necesarily better, old honda race bikes had as many as nine but that was required by the narrow power band I could do a swap but that sort of defeats the purpose of a b segment economy car. |
Yeah, it's definitely not practical. Swaps usually aren't. But still, it's a Honda, and has all the positive connotations associated with it. |
Simple bolt ons would be enough to have fun. I'd seriously compare it to a crx, just taller and 2 more doors and seats. lol Maybe that's a stretch, but I think anyone who's driven one will understand what I meant by that comparisson. |
I think trading your em2 for the fit would be a downgrade for you. Fit is pretty cool, but i think smaller cars are little death traps. I think if you went threw with your trade your gf would be the biggest winner with the nicer car. Im kinda in the same boat, my gf drives an 89 accord coupe, its just about at the end of its life. I like my em2 but want something a little faster stock. Swap and turbo are just not smartest investment for me, at this point. If i gave her my car and we got a new car i would be most likely looking at WRX, or new gti. Or maybe a slightly used bmw. Would have to trade UP not down. |
