AEM V2 Video

I had my local performance shop, http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/ , order this direct from AEM. It got in the middle of last week and I installed it over the weekend. Many wonder what it sounds like, looks like, all of that. I drove up from college and decided i'd bring my video cam to capture a before and after, but I was so exicted to get it under the hood, that I forgot the before. I didnt have a tape, so I had to record directly in MPEG format, sorry for the shitty quality, lack of time and planning on my part, but the video isnt horrible.

Please feel free to comment and give feedback.

here it is:

RHCP0801 10-02-2006 09:15 PM

soldierboi 10-02-2006 09:21 PM

i thought the pipe was fatter than that...hmmm

TRIZ 10-02-2006 09:26 PM

It did lend some power and a decent amount of torque. I was driving around with a decent amount of heavy crap in my trunk after the install: I went through first gear, and then the wheels had about double the slip they normally do when switching grears real quick (and thats with a totaly empty trunk). When they gripped, the pull was much harder and my glasses flew off from my visor and landed on the back floor. When I was on the backroads, I was able to pass people somewhat easier too, and I know it wasnt my em2 upgrade ego talking!

EM2 Shinobi 10-02-2006 09:33 PM

sounds good

EM2 Shinobi 10-02-2006 09:34 PM

yea the piping on the injien RD is thicker

Ichiban 10-02-2006 09:42 PM

It sounds different when the engine is under load. It's a lot louder. Maybe its just the EXs but I doubt it.

Mutha Fn FBM 85 10-02-2006 09:42 PM

Not bad man. Sounds a bit louder then my Injen SRI. After I get my exhaust, I won't be able to hear anything inside the car

RHCP0801 10-02-2006 09:54 PM

yea man no one likes being in the back seat of my car while i drive :giggle: the skunk 2 exhaust is insanely loud

01HonderCivic 10-02-2006 09:55 PM

I'm fabbing my own headers-back straight pipe exhaust. Mufflers are for pvssies :roflmao:

TRIZ 10-02-2006 10:09 PM

01HonderCivic 10-02-2006 10:13 PM

Haha, I'll probably get some machine shop time here in a few weeks. I'll definitely post up on how it goes. Perhaps I'll fab up a second one and let it go for the cost of the materials ;)

DUDEitsMATTx 10-02-2006 10:30 PM

It is a V2, just can't see it that well because of the quality. you can see where the tubing gets thicker in the middle if you look closely.

TRIZ 10-03-2006 12:42 AM

oh man, I dont think anyone would throw a V2 sticker on their SRI, thats super lame. I hope you'd run me over or crash into me if I did that.
