Are These 18's Or 19's???

what size are these rims, anyone know?

D5cIvIc 08-21-2006 12:49 AM

19 for sure. I remember his posting about his car before

jackedurcash 08-21-2006 01:14 AM

i didnt know you could put 19s on our cars? do you think his tires rub? lol

what size tires are they, anyone know?

D5cIvIc 08-21-2006 02:16 AM

probably either 215/35/19 or 225/35/19

yes most people on here with 19's have to have their fenders rolled or it will rub. Yes you can put 19's on our cars. Not recommended, but you can. 19's is about the biggest you should put on our cars. 18's i think are perfect.

But the tires should be either of those two.

hope that helps

genexrocket 08-21-2006 02:27 AM

looks like 19s

I Got Soul 08-21-2006 03:15 AM

how is that ricer? thats clean...

bOoStEd042dr 08-21-2006 07:16 AM

18's/19's are way too big for the 7thgen if it's not swapped/turboed

drew22mader 08-21-2006 07:20 AM

^ I hear ya, ricer would be 19" Chrome wheels, granted, they aren't JDM wheels but still he has done it nicely and can pull it off.

18's and 19's too big if your not swapped? Plz explain, that pretty much makes no sense at all.

cause it makes plenty of sense.....our d17's are soooooo slow with anything that's bigger than 17"....now if they're light that's different but gl w/that....why go that big?

drew22mader 08-21-2006 07:28 AM

I've got 18's, and no swap or turbo, guess i gotta throw my wheels away, and yes, you can fit 19's on your car no problem and drop it 2.5", Riley (rijowysock, extreme2k2civic) all have it or had it done no problem, Blackbullet has 20's, granted he has an air ride, but others have done that too.

Why have a big ass spoiler on the back of your car? Our cars don't need it or use it? So why tell me why i don't need 18's? My new Volks are Forged 1 piece and are prolly lighter than most peoples 16" and 17" wheel. And honestly, between a 17" and 18" wheel, if your not racing, its not gonna matter one bit.

bOoStEd042dr 08-21-2006 07:35 AM

i figured drew would be upset...I'm glad you like my spoiler too man, grow up too about the spoiler comment man....i get it alot and your the last person i'd expect to here dumb shit from but ok....obviously you can run up to 20" with no problems really...i've had 19's and 18's granted each were fairly light my gram lights are way lighter than your konigs buddy....maybe not your volks....lol

drew22mader 08-21-2006 07:44 AM

I'm not mad, it just didn't make any sense to say 18 or 19" wheels were too big for the motor. I would say 20" wheels would be too heavy, and should only be run on cars that can sport them and not look retarded, I bet your wheels are lighter than my Konigs, thats why i said my Volks are lighter than most 16" and 17" not all, but most. I'm not trying to start an argument at all, thats just not my style, i'm only giving you a hard time about the spoiler because i seen in another post you saying you want a smaller one. ;)

ronaldo9 08-21-2006 07:48 AM

Not trying to get in the middle of this crossfire but running rims this big is it safe. I mean will the car still drive stock? Will you need to upgrade to a big brake kit? Also I heard the speedometer isn't accurate when you run rims that big. Please enlighten me but IMHO i think 17's are the perfect size for our cars unless you have a wide bodykit to match those big rims.

bOoStEd042dr 08-21-2006 07:49 AM

yeah man....just giving you a hard time....but alot of people buy 18's and up just to look good and they end up with some off-brand wheels that weigh 20lb's with no tire...i'd just rather see someone get a lighter smaller wheels if that fits their budget better....because the almighty d17 does not like heavy wheels imho

drew22mader 08-21-2006 07:57 AM

Yea i hear ya about the wheels, i understand people's budgets sometimes are not that great, but when they stretch it to buy an 18" knock off wheel when they could have had a nicer 17" wheel. I'm soon to be swapped so it won't make much difference, but when i go to the track with the swap, you better believe i'll have different wheels on there.

FALKEN 08-21-2006 01:48 PM

i guess im a ricer

boxcarracer 08-21-2006 02:00 PM

im one lvl under ricer. 17'' with falken ziex 205/40 so close i do feel my car takes longer to slow down i need new brakes for that extra weight i guess

7thGenerasianCivic 08-21-2006 02:04 PM

My old wheels! But 1" larger :D

D5cIvIc 08-21-2006 09:07 PM

i'm a ricer since i have 18s.

Some people put 18s and 19s on their civic because its a show car. Plain and simple. Your comment makes no sense at all. Not everyone wants to race their car. Some people just want to have a nice ride to get them from point A to point B even if that sometimes takes longer than others.

BlackKnight008 08-21-2006 09:09 PM

Why would you put 18's on a swapped or turboed car? I am lost it would make the car go slower, I thought you were trying to gain speed by swapping not losing it ;)

D5cIvIc 08-21-2006 09:12 PM

^ now that comment makes more sense. But when i'm swapped i'll still sport my 18s. Why not go show and go. We can always get lighter 18s

kumanan 08-21-2006 09:13 PM

i have 18s.. i want 19s... someone here put 20'' lexani slates on theres... black bullet has 20s too

SLO REX 08-21-2006 09:15 PM

I guess my steelies make my civic 5up3r m4d f45t JDM drift0r type y0. That was a stupid comment about the 18s/19s being too big. Whatever floats the persons boat, unless they are chrome 20s, then GTFO and burn in hell

tuningmycivic 08-21-2006 09:18 PM

i have 17s, would like to go up to 18s, but no bigger. i still DD mine, so i'd like to keep a somewhat civilized amount of comfort in the ride

BlackKnight008 08-21-2006 09:23 PM

I made a retarded fvcking comment, too high dont even worry about it

but seriously i kind of figured the thread stater may have been thinking of dd....i did notice that when i had heavier wheels stop and go traffic is horrible in my car...because most 18's/19's are going to weigh more....i just know that when i'm in stop and go my 17's are way more driveable than my old sets....i don't race either so whats your point? the car is just way easier to drive with lighter rotating masses under it

D5cIvIc 08-21-2006 11:25 PM

^ i totally agree with you on the fact that 18's make the car accelerate and brake a lot slower. So don't get me wrong. My point was that your statement. that you should not have 18 or 19s unless you are boosted or have a motor swap. that doesn't make sense. thats why i gave my comment on show cars. that was my point.

i'm sure its easier to drive with smaller rims, but your comment was just OUT THERE. You don't have to have a motor swap or a boosted car to have bigger rims. that was my point.

Was in no intention of starting an argument though. Just found your statement making no sense.
