FWD to RWD?
 

So has anyone ever converted a civic from fwd to rwd before? I looked but couldn't really find anything about it..... a drifting civic?

there was one guy who did it on here but he was from the middle east where they have LOTS OF MONEY. Good luck

a few people have done it to civic's one guy did an Acura legend swap into a 6thgen, and has it RWD. And some guy just sold a 350 powered 5thgen hatch on ebay. it can be done just alot of work.

why would u...just buy a rwd car, it'll be cheaper

buy the awd drivetrain from japan, disconnect the front driveshaft, voila! rwd civic.

total cost will probably be around the cost of your civic.

well on honda-tech, there was an integra in a drifting competition, it was converted to rwd

you can buy the old civic that had awd... oooold civic. the drivetrain was terribly weak, too... + lots of custom work

there are a few midengine RWD Del Sol's around.... in other words, a lot of $

yea here in orlando theres some dude that goes to the drifting competitions in a integra... :shrug: the kid is horrible at drifting tho...i dk I dont think its worth it =X lots o' $$

i saw a white integra, dc2, with a crv drivetrain. it can be set as either awd or rwd depending on what the owner feels like :shrug: . he used it at a drift event a few years back. pretty good driver.

of course the engine bay of that car is pretty big!

yeah preludes have huge engine bays, but the 5th and 6th gen civics have huge engine bays compared ot the 7thgen.

juat buy a rear wheel drive car if u want one

the chap who had the legend motor in the 6thgen used a audi drivtrain if im not mistaken

yup, saw that car in person while i was visiting family in FL. they took the differentials, axles and basically everything including the lug swap haha and put it in the integra. wiring must've been a b!tch. hahah thinking about that makes me want a dc2 mMmm AWD DC2 with a jdm front end. why would it need to be a 350z? you could do 240sx with an SR20det or RB26det swap, or go turbo MR2, old school carolla, supra, or celica. I have a few buddies with some bad ass 240's one is sr20det one is supercharged ka24. and one with an 83 celica with the turbo 2.4 in it. all great for drifting.

iono I keep telling myself I am not getting rid of my civic until I can afford to buy a 350z its one of my favorite cars for its price
