Just a quick update (Ran it a little better)

So anyways few of you have been wondering whats going on with my ride. So i thought i would do a brief update. Im probably goign to stop work on the tunk for a little while, as i probably wont have time to finish it before i head back to texas for School, but when i get out there ill finish it. But for now im Focusing more on the interior and finihsishing that I just got a lot of my used parts in that i got shipped to me, so i should have at least 50% of that project done *ecluding rear seat, carpet, and ceiling* But tomorrow and friday is performance focus. Ill be heading up to a shop to do some custom exsahust work, and build the equivalent of a 3" exsuast, and then Friday im heading to Church Automotive to have it tuned and put out some final numbers for everyone to see. But thats it for now. im posting this as a new thread cause ill post my number here when i get done.

crazy sauce

TransformedBG 07-15-2006 10:11 AM

So i couldnt open it up to 3" on my car cause i have no room under my car lol. Need to cut and raise my floor i guess lol. So i had to stick with 2.25" exsuahst. oh well. Now the good news.. 277hp@8400 rmp w 201ft tq@8000 rmps. Ill post the dyno up when i get home. But i should be good for a few more hp with some race gas :). Oh that only boost to about 6 psi lol.

tuner04civic 07-15-2006 03:53 PM

Soo ive stopped work on my car for a while, mostly due to the move, and now im going to school. so my car will probably remain like it is till i get some pieces and a little money coming in... in the mean time ill just post up my projections on everything thus far...

Althought it startes out as a nice car already i have definataly turned it in to something else! This car can take most anything on the road any day of the week! Only problem is the lack of traction. Its not wheel hop or anything but just the tires like to spin. So i need to save up a little cash and trade the rims and tires out for sometihng with even more grip than i already have and a nice set of slicks for the track! So all and all i would have to say this was a good decision on my part. The only con i have right now is the lack of powersteering cause it hurts your ability to avoid accidencts at low speed. Other than that no problems what so ever! If anyone ever needs any help feel free to im me.

jester444 08-22-2006 06:50 PM

Where are you going to school, just out of curiosity?

kornsined 08-22-2006 07:52 PM

good work......and yes no power steering sucks....glad i fixed mine.

Drivetofast 08-22-2006 11:44 PM

looks like your belt is sliping or your cam angles are all over the place

TransformedBG 08-23-2006 08:39 AM

No its not slipping, checked that... which curve you looking at? Vtec kicks on at 3000 *thats the little spike on the hp curve* and the dip on the boost curve.

familycar 08-23-2006 04:39 PM

you seriously coudnt fit even 2.5" exhaust on there? nice numbers though man a 9psi pulley shold put you at the 300 you want. but there goes traction even worse then. you should look into a fullrace traction bar set up. im sure it could be fabbed to fit fairly easy.

Nope, not even a 2.125 up in there :( but dont worry i found a sollution! :) Exsaust cut out vavle :) So it will be like open headers at the track! quiet then loud at the flick of a switch! But with that it will get me closer to 300 as well, and if i can pull of the 9psi pulley and a water injection system! wooo weee man i tell you what right now... That should get up there to about 350!!!

SLO REX 08-23-2006 10:30 PM

Horsepower is over-rated

familycar 08-24-2006 02:50 PM

they have electric cut outs too you should look into that. and i can reccomend a good meth injection kit. its from snowperformance
http://www.snowperformance.net/products.asp?id=1
i can acutally hook you up on those too. my buddy owns a shop and sells a lot of them for diesels. or you can look ino the J/R water injection kit. my buddy has it on his focus and it works good. i keep trying to get him to use meth in it but he is scurred so i actually bought him a bottle of denatured alcohol to run and he can determine the mix. right now he is @ 7-9 psi but the pulley will go to 12psi btu he is pinging bad so he wants a new tune before he tries it. i am trying to tell him this will help a lot but like i said he is a bit scurred.

i know you probably said that in mistake but 2.125 is smaller than the 2.25" you said you got put in. 2.5" should fit. guys run 2.5" on turbo d17's all the time and the down pipe doesnt have to be routed under the motor to the front withthe swap. i dont understand why it wont fit. i think derek also has a 2.5" at least from the axel back

kornsined 08-24-2006 07:54 PM

mines a 3". I can show some pics if you want.

Lol it might be.. but how low is your car?

TransformedBG 08-26-2006 12:11 AM

So im pretty happy right now!!! I mean its not the best but its a heck of a lot better than my last time.. Just went out to the track and ran my first 14.1@100.89mph! I borrowed my friends 17x7 rims with some azzinas on it, and did a lot better, brought my 60ft down to a 2.3## and i just had a blast, but not to mention it was still about 101 out tonight with about 58% humidity. I also ran a lower tune so i was only pusing about 258 to the wheels, playing with my 2 step lauch controller, But i figure on a colder day in febuary some slicks and pull all the extra crap out of my car, i could be in the 12's!
