hey, i had a minivan before my civic so i figure it's the best of both worlds. it has a 5 cylinder 2.3L turbo engine, of which i am very excited about. However, aftermarket support for volvos is proving to be pretty scarse, so any suggestions?

also, i know it looks like a grandpa's car, so im going to tint the windows asap.

my justification for getting this car:

quick
4 doors
$3000 dollars, (i got $6,500 back from insurence AFTER they paid off my 5k loan).
it's a volvo, it won't die any time soon.
i need a car to get me through college

your thoughts?

i think that is a good plan you did, now you can put the money away for college or after college and get a new car or save for a house

There is a volvo like that here in south florida. It is a drift car tho. It has a HUGE tubo on it, its completly gutted out, and its fast as hell. So you never know you might just have a diamond in the rough ;)

What year is the volvo? Because Ford didn't acquire Volvo until 1999.

xbeebop 06-27-2006 04:29 PM

hah, kinda makes me laugh, but at least you got a car and were able to save money...it doesnt look bad, i mean, not in bad shape or anything...and at least you werent hurt in the accident.

skoot 06-27-2006 04:30 PM

DDragon7 06-27-2006 04:54 PM

kasimmmmm 06-27-2006 06:35 PM

j/k ;)

I don't get it. Isn't the point of insurance to get you back in the same situation you were in prior to the accident? You should get enough from your car to get another Civic of the same year and value.

no, thats not the point of insurance. if you want to spend the $$ on salt water taffy and toothpaste, then its your choice. Their job is to pay out the fair vaule of your car if its totaled, thats it.
