R1Style 05-30-2006 08:43 AM

looks good... but how did you work with the Drive-By-wire throttle system??

diskreet 05-30-2006 09:24 AM

Yeah, why go with a z1?
Awesome either way!

I was under the impression that the z1 was still throttle cable driven?

The z1 is from the RSX-S and is rated higher than the z3.

diskreet 05-30-2006 09:51 AM

The z1 is from the new Si. The a's are the ones from RSX's and EP3 Si's

R1Style 05-30-2006 11:09 AM

Actually the new RSX-S have the K20Z1. The new 06 Si have K20Z3.

And upon further research... the K20Z1 out of the RSX-S are cable driven

skipbarber 05-30-2006 11:22 AM

i just realized your car used to be auto...youre gonna have some real fun with that 6 speed in there.

diskreet 05-30-2006 01:18 PM

oh, good to know. thanks r1style for the info

EM2_monkey 05-30-2006 03:01 PM

How much did that z1 run you? And how much are you paying for the swap?

White0nGold 05-30-2006 07:14 PM

i went with the z1 cuz i got a good deal on it, and the z1 is 210 hp, 2nd best of the k20s sept for the jdm one, the engine was about 3k everything was pretty simple, well im not the one doing the swap, my mechanic friend is, so the only dilema was with the 05 type s ecu, so some one else is doing that for me, and thats the only thing i need left, so yea, it should be done this week

Caucasian.Asian 05-31-2006 02:14 AM

familycar 06-16-2006 02:31 PM

wheres the update???

White0nGold 06-17-2006 02:02 AM

so far everything is done, the only thing is the ecu/harness since the k20z1 is the hardest so far of swap, compared to the 02-04's well i met some guy about a month ago on k20a.org who said he'll reflash my computer and fix my harness and hes had the harness ever since, thats all i'm waiting for,

xproductionz 06-17-2006 02:58 AM

assuming u have the k20z engine harness...all u need is the CLIP-OVER and Kpro from hondata to make it work

SLO REX 06-17-2006 09:28 PM

looks sweet, can't wait to see numbers
