Body kit color... paint?

Im about to get my hands on a body kit and it will need to repainted. I have a Coupe EX in SSM but for some crazy idea I thought about painting the body kit black. I have black tail and my headlights are going be blacked out with a retro fit... Would it depend on the body kit if I should paint it black? I also want to go with a black OEM spoiler to accent the kit If I were to paint it black...

To paint or not to paint black is the question...

And top all that off I got a buddy who could do a custom Honda emblem painting on my hood which I think would look good as well... personal opinion though.

Id also want to go with some black 15 Rotas... that would be pushing it though if not Id go with Gunmetal.

Any comments are welcome good/bad?

Looking for a fresh look I guess...

RICE.

unless youre going 2 tone, like paint the whole bottom half another color.

you might as well leave it unpainted cuz thats how its going to seem painted. its gonna look like you didnt have enough money to paint it the right color.

Dude, if you're going with a two tone scheme, paint it up to the body line, at least, and the top half of the car another color. And, should you do that, make sure you choose an accent colot to pin stripe to seperate teh two colors. It'll look stupid with just the kit painted.

i prefered in the same color, maybe you could paint some parts of body in black

like this

paint the kit SSm I agree with what the guys said..it'll look horrible unless you do the 2 tone the right way. I say paint the Kit SSM and some frigging gunmetal rims with silver polish lip will melt me before Summer...

ssm....only..not 2tone

IMO I wouldn't go with just painting the body kit. Might be different (if done right) with a lip kit.

Also in my opinion that body kit would look better with bigger rims than just 15's.

yah like texaxcivic said. 15s are too small for that big body kit. just go with 17s and that kit

TOEnail 05-18-2006 12:30 PM

paint the kit the same color...trust me i have pics to prove it.

if that picture doenst do it then nothing will hahha

armieo 05-18-2006 01:32 PM

Wow did you paint your tires too or is that just your shietty cellphone camera?

TOEnail 05-18-2006 01:43 PM

yea i painted the tires...the paintjob was really nice but i seriously need to get rid of them and get new rims

jrb121180 05-18-2006 02:04 PM

i wouldnt do it unless you could tie it in with some black graphics down the side. i left my lip black because i have black rims, but a lip is not nearly as big as a bumper

Thanks for your responses...

I was talking to a local paint shop about a 2 tone and it would take time and not to say money.

It being a daily driver I just might go with SSM and put some 17's.

That picture should be shreaded and burned... No offense... Jk

hahaha smart choice man. it would cost you the same to paint it black and look ugly as it would to paint it silver and look good
