:)

10000k, blah.

gearbox 05-03-2006 12:19 AM

well first off, yea lots of glare and thats the worst brand you could buy. Second, there is no way thats 10000k. it would be pure color purple/blue and very dim. those pics look more like 4300k maybe 5000k. so they ripped you off.

Dear New Hid Guy, please consider retrofitting, you will get caught eventually with those things as well as fry your stock harness. Do the right thing.

Sincerly, Retrofit King!

SEVYN 05-03-2006 02:36 AM

mcculloch's the worst brand? omfg, no one ever told me this.. so what's a good brand?? and can you still fry your stock harness with a 6000k?

anyways.. 10,000k? holy shit man!!!

i seriously doubt they will fry your stock harnass, since they do take in less wattage than a regular halogen bulb.

The reason the stock harness will fry is because at initial start up the ammount of power required to fire the ballasts & bulbs is more power than the stock harness can handle. God please prove me wrong, I'd love to see a post from you that reads "Installed HID kit, All Electrical Is Out, Please Help".

^^^lol

yah man like gearbox said thats not 10,000K. it would have to be purple. i just feel for the ppls eyes cuz of the glare haha

1sykcivic 05-03-2006 11:22 AM

http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=259826

that black ek has a mccollouch 10000k hid kit

burke420 05-10-2006 03:52 PM

well that is a garage shot at my house, and from looking at 5000k to 10k, i DONT think i was ripped off! i know of plenty ppl arpund atl, to have them not fry a harness YET, but a retrofit will be considered, and i love them, a yard shot or something will later show a better color rather than the glare of a white garage that it was in!

Zeppelin8778 05-10-2006 05:14 PM

sorry bud. there is absolutely no way that 10000k. theres is nothing in this world that could convince me that it is. my buddy has a 6000k kit on his rsx and its twice as blue as that. 10000k should be dark blue/purple dude.

i guess its possible its just a shitty kit and they give what they call 10000k... but i have another buddy with 12000k on his A4 and its like thick dark purple... so either u got jipped or its just a shitty as s kit.

2k2_civic_ex_4d 05-10-2006 05:24 PM

I almost feel bad, for the all mean comments, dude I'm so against plug~n~play kits, that I'd even hook you up with a free retrofitt, just buy the parts and send them to me. $hit.

You'll need a wireharness. You'll spare your electrical system over time. Not sure if this kit includes one. BTW, try and stick with oem parts.
