dang!!im so pissed!! so slow!!

i was juss driving around and i saw a 04 civic ex. so i got next to him then we started to race on the green light, then after like 3rd gear he was in front of me... $hi|... so i followed him then asked him wut he got in the hood.. he said "juss an air filter" (i saw the "K&N" sticker on the side window.. ) i told him i got header and the AEM V2 intake .. but i dont know y mine was slower than he's civic... then he said "may be because mine is stick and ur car is an auto" .... and he said "i beat the mustang wit this, i dont know how".............
weird ... then he told me if i get the exhaust done it might get lil bit faster ........my car is amazingly slow or something...it was the same civic ex (mine was 03 and he's was 04)...weird....:hithead: :hithead: :hithead: :hithead: :hithead: :hithead:

"may be because mine is stick and ur car is an auto"

he answered you already..

lxcivic2k1 05-01-2006 07:55 PM

yup, manuals are a lil faster than autos.

wsccd3 05-01-2006 07:57 PM

but wut about the intake and the header??? he had none!! (new air filter)

Alex1 05-01-2006 07:59 PM

lmao!

gearbox 05-01-2006 08:01 PM

stick has 10-15whp over auto so yea. intake and header gives you +3whp.

tuner04civic 05-01-2006 08:01 PM

well manual get that little more power and are about a second difference on the quatermile. i/h/e wont add much power on a d17a2. you only have 3 hp if that. manuals have like 10hp more i believe. from dyno charts a saw

wsccd3 05-01-2006 08:03 PM

damn time to trade the car... i dont love my car anymore (T.T)

modoman 05-01-2006 08:05 PM

manuals can also climb the gears higher

tuner04civic 05-01-2006 08:06 PM

you dont have to trade it save up and swap the motor out or boost the car.

RHCP0801 05-01-2006 08:07 PM

yea....i hate my auto, just the tranny tho, i love the car itself

a4turboss 05-01-2006 08:09 PM

hmmm... I dont know about a little.... when I was stock and raced an auto LX with my 5 speed LX, I had a few car lengths on him by the end of 2nd gear.

its not even how much power you have or dont have, its all about getting what power you have to the road... manual will get it there better.

holy crap there must be something wrong there, you need to go learn like now....:screwy: :screwy: :screwy:

TemjinX2 05-01-2006 11:27 PM

usually race and auto don't go together well unless you drive a 1000hp supra.

I just bought my car with a manual which was the only way I made sure I learned how to drive a manual. Else I couldn't drive my new car...lol. My dad taught me the day we bought it and had the hang of it enough to drive around by myself after an hour.

05civicexse 05-02-2006 01:46 AM

yeah, i test drove another civic to get the hang of it and then bought mine a few days later. i learned on someone elses clutch, then bought the new car with 2 miles on it!  i learned how by myself though.

HondaLuver 05-02-2006 07:32 PM

lol..

Dude, dont feel bad about it.

I ran into a 2 door EX while driving home from the inlaws house one day. He was ahead of me in the left hand turn lane. When the light turned green, he left hard, squeeling the tires around the whole turn. When i got straight in the lane, i got on it. I started passing him very quickly, then suddenly he started keeping up a bit. But by 3rd, i was pulling on him by a decent amount again.

When we got side by side, the guy was like "What the hell do you have done?"
I told him "an exhaust and ram air intake".
He said "BullSh*t, i just lost to you and i have a 75 shot of nitrous."

I told him he must not be very good at driving. :hgrin:

BTW, i was running 11 psi on a T3/T04E with a ported cylinder head and a 2.5" straight through exhaust.
