My dad bought me my first car. He was always a Toyota guy as it happens the dealer happened to only have a Civic. I lucked out.

I lived in VA he lived in FL. I flew down there and he takes me out to the parking lot and goes up to this rusted out shit terd 92 civic. It was rust primer and black colored all dinged up and shit and he gives me the keys and he goes, "theres your car" i hit the remote and the car behind me beeped.

January 2001. I was 16. Paid $10,000 for a 1998 Vogue Silver Metallic EJ at Mincer Motors in Sanford Flarda. Had 32,000 miles on it in a 5 speed. My dad tinted the windows for me, got me 15" icw rims with Michelin tires on it. I lived in Virginia and drove it all the way home. I still remember the first song that I played on the Sony Xplod head unit my dad had installed for me. He went all out for me.

I loved that car and gave it hell. Sold it in 2006 with 160,000 miles. I've had three since.

I was 20. After my 02 Corolla S was struck down by a Volvo in 2008 I didn't think I could love another car again. I'm glad I was wrong. I've had my '03 EX coupe for over 5 years now and I've just started modding it into the car it can be.

I was 23 years old. My 1990, $500 Toyota Celica was dying and I needed something fast. I went to the local Honda dealership and loved the then new 2004 Civics. I traded in my Celica in for $500 and bought a new 2004 Civic LX 2dr, with a standard trans, in Fiji Blue and have been loving it since!

17 years old. bought it for 2k was a 97' civic DX 2 door coupe. Went mudding with it and punched out the back window. and sold it. I am 19 now and I got another civic this time 96' honda civic ex. Doing a lot of work on it. fun fun.

42, 1 month ago, got a 2000 ex with alot of good stuff on it, love the gear ratios, other car has vvt so they powerband way different. enjoying the differences

I was 24 when I bought a brand new 1998 Civic EX coupe. Bought a 91 DX Hatch in 2006, and bought a 2008 Si sedan this year, I'm now 39. Love Civics.

got my '03 civic ex when i was 32. and now a '13 civic ex at 42. wish i had bought a honda much earlier than i did. all my former american cars were unreliable money pits.

I got my first civic when I was 26. It was a blast to drive and much more reliable than all my other hot hatches such as a gti, various nissans and others. But theres more it had a distinguished blend of performance and practicality I have yet to see from any of the competition. This led me to call it the escape pod because it was always ready to go. Enough reminiscing the escape pod or pod for short was a 2008 4 door SI. You may ask yourself why 4 doors, it's easy to get with chicks in the back of a 4 door. :rockon:

An hour or more of practice and some tweaking with the clutch and idle...now I don't so much wanna destroy it. :hgrin:

i was 16 i got a 89 dx hatchback dont have it any more cops took it when i was 17 i got 1991 HONDA CRX Si CAME WITH a ZC SOHC NON-VTEC ENGINE and im 18 now best 1000 bucks ive ever spent (for the crx)

And actually, I am hoping that someone could point me in the proper direction of where to post pictures of the car (engine, body, interior) for information collection. I don't really know as much as probably most of you. I've done some reading online and gather that this car came with 1 specific engine for this year and type? Not 100% sure and I would like to know more about my car basically. So point me where to take my photos and where people here can perhaps pass on some knowledge about what I have bought.

Damn, I got my first civic (85 crx) in 1993. That poor car. It lived a hard life for 3 years. I've owned 4 more crx's since then, as well as a 91 hatch, and now have a 2002 ep3 SiR. Damn, I've spent half my life driving Hondas!

I got a 97 ford escort station-wagon with electrical tape racing stripes as a graduation gift at 18, and when that blew up (as ford cars are wont to do) I got a 92 civic dx which blew a head-gasket after 2 years and that little trooper made it to 340k miles and I replaced it with what could have been a nice 97 accord, but it was totaled, then I financed my 2001 Honda Civic Ex Coupe for $4700 (a good deal, I think it was worth almost $6k!). She's my pride and joy and she taught me all about electrical systems and car interior design, soon she'll teach me about exterior gloss paint that won't look ghetto (I hope!).:lol:

I bought my first Civic DX in 2001, brand new from Nyack NY. White coupe, tan interior, manual with the hubcaps. I had 7 good years with that car. I was 29 when I bought it.

I was 14 when I got my green manual '01 coupe. Bought it for $500 with 245,000 km. Needed a drivers side window regulator and had the DRL/SRS combo on the dash. I (mostly my dad) resoldered the connections for the DRL and cleaned up the seatbelt buckle for the SRS light. Threw some winter tires on it and I drove it until I was 19. Timing belt snapped at 311k in January of 2019. What you need to know about me, however, is that my cars are indestructible, meaning the timing belt snapped at TDC. My brother started driving it shortly thereafter, and then it was ultimately sold in August of 2021 at 326k.
