***OK here's my HID's***Retro Up Date with PICS 56k go watch a tree grow 6 Attachment(s) Ok well, I bought a kit from HIDexpert.com everthing was good, but I decided to do a retrofit using Maxima HID reflectors instead of projectors, so there's almost no glare. Anyway this is mock up, it's not perminent yet. This a 4300k philips bulb with a denso ballast. BTW this is my first ever retro job after studying everything about HID's for months, and I used my cell phone to take these. |
Looks really nice. The best reflector HIDs I've seen are from the Lexus LS400. The look like __________l------------ You'd think it was projectors from a wall shot. Any reason you chose the Maxima reflectors? I think most people opt for the IS300 ones. |
very different and creative. I like! |
nice.. looks bright |
Thats pretty tight. you making a DYI on this? |
i demand more pics!!!! |
hmm DIY TIME |
 dope retro . Ive only seen 6thgen with is300 reflectors before. no glare with a good beam , Ill have to check it out at the meet sometime . |
Thanks a lot. I choose maxima reflectors because they're easy to work with and after months of learning and finding parts I only found one good lexus LS 400 reflector. I'm gonna wright up a diy as soon prep everthing, they should be in by Sunday afternoon. Trust me there'll be tons of pics, especailly since I haven't seen to many civics with this type of retro job. |
Damn that a nice job so far! cant wait to see them in the car! =) |
sweet  my friend has a maxima with oem hid reflectors and he's always complaining that there isn't enough light far away from the car. he says the light is all concentrated right up front. |
that is H.O.T. DIY=rep |
very cool. how did you get it to blend in so well? i would have expected a big cut mark in the back where you put the housing in... |

cool hid's, nasty blister. |
not a bad cutoff for reflector |
I just learned to post pics today, sorry they're sloppy. |
nice job with the retro...i like it looks real good |
damn...ill say this headlight is the S*** the best civic HID headlight ever!! |
looks awesome, congrats |
those look really nice in the stock housing... very nice indeed  rep for diy :D |
That kinda makes me wish I had gone that route instead of 04+ Maxima projectors. Those are easier to come by as well. Anyway, I'm only $17 in the hole so far with my retrofit, just gotta get housings still(I'm slacking because it's just now beginning to warm up outside). |
those are cool |
nice, didn't think reflectors could look like that |
