Lip Kit Possibility

Well a lot of people tell em I need a lip kit, now that my car is lowered.

I am thinking of this one... Would it look good on my car, and wouldn't I need some aftermarket sideskirts? Suggestions?

Would that kit look good on my car?

By the way, carbon fiber hood is being put on sometime next week hopefully..

those will loook clean... i would personally go with something more aggressive but thats totally up to you... it will look good either way.

GACivic 02-16-2006 11:06 PM

Suggestions on other kits would be nice. Or pictures of kits that I could get.

I was thinking MAYBE a carbon fiber front lip, cause I'm about to get the hood put on.... But I dunno.

I really like the type b front lip, but I don't know what rear lip to get with it. And what kinda side skirts?

diskreet 02-16-2006 11:06 PM

My suggestion is that you fix the headlights and how they fit!

the lip will look great. paint your grill after you fix the headlights lol.

It's the bumper, it's being fixed when I get my hood on.

i suggest you look at the xenon kit for your car..i like how it looks.. and it ive seen some on silver vics and its hotness.. also the wings west

http://www.import-performance-parts.com/WingsWestG5.gif

the only reason i suggest these two is because both are lips and bumpers.. that way you get the lip kit you always wanted.. LOL

GACivic 02-17-2006 10:08 AM

If you could find a Xenon kit on a SSM coupe taht would be AWESOME.

texascivic2k1 02-17-2006 10:40 AM

Member "BIG” Awesome car. I think he was parting out his car so he might still have the kit... I like the Xeon kit also because I like the more aggressive look IMO.

damn thats a hot ride

GACivic 02-17-2006 11:05 AM

That's bad ass. As soon as I get the $ up I'll probably buy that. It just looked shitty in all the other pics, on the goldish colored car.

GACivic 02-17-2006 11:10 AM

Hmm... I bet they don't make that kit in urethane though. I don't want fiberglass. Which is why I was going with a lip kit. Any suggestions on lip kits, if they only make Xenon kit in fiberglass.

texascivic2k1 02-17-2006 11:15 AM

Good NEWS! This is why I also like Xenon... they only make their products in urethane that is why they are so expensive. Click this---> http://www.teamxenon.com/Polybenifits.pdf

GACivic 02-17-2006 11:16 AM

Well that is good news. Where is a website that has Xenon body kits?

texascivic2k1 02-17-2006 11:41 AM

I can't help you there... I have my own personal body shop guy. And yeah I am curious on what is a good web-site for exterior accessories like lip kits and body kits? And not just any web-site but one you have dealt with. Hope I am not thread jacking’ just trying to help.

GACivic 02-17-2006 02:31 PM

Well show me where I can get a entire lip kit that looks good please.

I like the type B front, so if there is a Type B lip kit that would be awesome..

tuningmycivic 02-17-2006 02:49 PM

don't know of a complete type b lip kit, just the front...but i'm going with the kaminari kit meself....

drew22mader 02-17-2006 02:59 PM

^ thata boy, gotta love the Kaminari kit, heh. GA, i have the Type B front lip on my Kaminari kit, i love the Xenon kits on SSM, looks hella nice. Check out Xenon, there is a guy in the F/S that has one, just needs sanded down and repainted.

GACivic 02-17-2006 03:08 PM

I can't find it... What's his name?

drew22mader 02-17-2006 03:12 PM

Its on pg 2. I haven't really looked at it, just take a look.

GACivic 02-17-2006 03:14 PM

The kits in pretty bad shape. How can I get the full kit you have, with the front a type b? Or where could I look at a Kaminari kit?

I kinda like lips better, they are cleaner looking.

drew22mader 02-17-2006 03:18 PM

I bought the Rear and Sides off of www.customautotrim.com for like $500-600 and the Type B front lip from www.streetstyler.com for $125. Mine isn't the full kit, i didn't like the front lip of the kaminar cause it looked a little big and the lip stuck out. You can get the complete kit from customautotrim.com, they do make a Type B lip kit, you can see it on streetstyler.com. But people have complained about them, but they worked out for me.

GACivic 02-17-2006 03:22 PM

I like the type b. So what about this.

Go all the way 2 the bottom.

drew22mader 02-17-2006 03:30 PM

Yep thats it, if you do order from them, make sure you call them and order it, get the guys name and make sure you get a tracking number. Keep calling them back to check on it, thats what i did and got the front lip in like 4 days. Very fast.

GACivic 02-17-2006 03:33 PM

So you think that would look good on my car? It's free shipping, so it would be under $400.

drew22mader 02-17-2006 03:35 PM

I'm pretty sure it would look good, it would be good if you painted that black mesh for the rear black. Should look good man. Member what i said about the company, stay on them.

GACivic 02-17-2006 03:37 PM

So if I don't stay on them, it will take a long time to ship? I'm really not worried about time, unless its a REALLY long time. Because I have to get up enough money to get it painted, etc.

drew22mader 02-17-2006 03:37 PM

Well i heard someone say it took 2 months, but Street Styler said it was because of backorder. Yea just call them, I did and it all worked out nicely.

GACivic 02-17-2006 03:43 PM

Thanks for the heads up. As soon as I get the extra money, I'm going to order that, I gotta guy round here that can paint it for cheap.

This kit will go nicely with my carbon fiber hood that should be here today, or sometime next week. And my white neons I'm getting put on, when they come in.
