/\ Yes it is stock, but the CF Spark Plug Cover will be in next week along with the Battery Tie Down, Oil Cap, and Radiator cap, no sense in buying a SRI for my car seeing as i'm turboing my car. |
Geez man, that thing looks like it's never been used before.. Very nice:tup: |
how the fvck do y ou clean ur engine bay like that? that is clean, damn! |
Well for one, i don't let it get dirty, but i use Meguairs Cockpit shine on the stuff. Just scrub all the metal and just try to hit everything. |
nice man very nice |
I would eat a steak in that spark plug cover, CLEAN!!;) |
/\ LOL, too funny, Mmmmmmm steak, sounds good. The plug cover will soon be off, and the new CF one will be on. I can't wait. |

good pictures you make the d17 look good. |
if you have time try polishing the ps pump and the metal stuff around there. shows love that. |
yea gearbox, i really thought about that, what did you use to polish it up? I need to do that before the show. PS pump seems to have some shit all over it, like spots, can that stuff come off? Also the head cover is got some stuff on it, what should i use? |
get some mothers billet metal polish. its expensive but does a great job. it turns metal into chrome nice and shiny. if you have never polished metal before, what you do is get a pack of detail cloths, use one and put a little bit of polish on a small surface and just rub 20x or more times til the cloth starts to turn black then with a new cloth you go over that part to get all the polish out. if the metal is really bad, you may need to repeat a few times until it becomes shiny. here is what i did so far. not much but its a start. and yea the rain ruined the heat shield already but i wiped it off with a cloth after taking the pics. you can get it shiny but not as much as the intake. the polish is by the intake in the first pic in a small jar. http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b4...u/wrbillet.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b4...lu/enight3.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b4...lu/e2night.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b4...lu/e1night.jpg |
Oh wow, you got it all nice and shiny, the metal line running to the ps pump even is nice. I'll have to get that tomorrow and start on it. thanks man! rep +1 |
hey, i can see that your brake fluid is not at the MAX level...haha |
Mine? lol, i got a letter in the mail for my 30,000 mile maintance, it said "Our records show that you should have 30,652 miles on your car, we are sending this to remind you to stop in for you 30,000 mile maintance. LOL my car hasn't even hit 28,000 yet. I have only put like 1 mile on my since October. |
How's the new intake gearbox??, is it better than the ones you have owned?? |
you mean power steering? the lower level is the "cold" level and upper is for hot. so it shouldn't be at max since the car is cold :) |
ya it is but i'll start my own thread. this is about engine bay pics lol/

You also changed the spark plug cover, right gb? Also, Flitz is very good at polishing metal. |

Hey gearbox, did you take the ps pump off to polish it? |
nope just polished around it best i could. its hard to get some areas tho. Also how is your windshield washer tubing? I still have a bunch of smoke black tubing from an accord if you want. I've been tryin to sell it for $15 shipped. Looks alot better than stock one that discolored. You can see the hose color in the pic above. |
I was searching for the Flitz here in my house, but I think my dad used it all the way ... |
 um you may want to wear gloves. i got stuff all over my hands and my finger skin started peeling |
Mine still is black as the day it was purchased. Thanks though. My car was taken very well care of before i bought it, its only got 27000 miles on it and its a 2002, always garaged and i'm the 2nd owner, when i bought it the engine bay was perfect, so it was easy to keep the engine clean, key to it all is to just never let it get dirty and its alot easier to keep clean. Man i can't wait to get that polish tomorrow, i remember someone polishing it and couldnt remember who, thanks alot. |
I've got my matching red Mechanics gloves that i always use  , saves your heads from alot of stuff. |
Gearbox, did you ever try the Mothers Polishing Ball? Maybe that would make it easier on the ps pump so get in the tight spaces. |
looks damn good man. when u gonna let me shoot some pics of it? |
Whenever you want to.......My car will be at the Extreme Sports Expo show next weekend, roll on up. |
Clean engine and car there man... The polish looks sweet too. |
i might have 2 swing up that way. altho i was gonna go 2 cavlecade of customs downtown. u should come with. |
