RIP- 2005 Civic SE, 12/22/05

Last thursday as I was driving threw rochester when a car pulled out of a driveway and nailed the front of my car. I didnt even see it comming untill the airbag hit, and after that I was to stunned to do anything. My car coasted across the street, through some garbage cans, up a curb into somebodys front yard. (I know everyone looks at car accedent and wonders how cars end up in front yard, well now I know how.) Both me and the other driver were fine just very shook up.

So now that the insurance company has settled everything I should have some money for another car very soon, still taking suggestions. Im trying to avoid car payments again so probley something along the lines of an older 2dr accord. Also I may be doing the insurence buyback on the car so if anyone is gonna be looking for parts in the near future keep me in mind.

I will try and get the images up in my gallery soon if anyone is interested.

Thanks for all your support. Since my job envolves driving so much in the city I have decided not to get another new car. Even before the accedent this car had scratches all over from people hitting it on the side of the road, a crack in the back bumper from someone who couldent parellel park, and always a mess inside.

So my plan now is to take whats left of the insurence money after repaying my car loan and some I have saved up and get a decint car for $6-10,000. So far here is the list of cars I want

Really Want
- 99-00 Impreza 2.5 RS
- 99-00 Civic Si
- 98-01 Accord Coupe

Others i'm considering
- 96-99 Celica Hatchback
- 96-97 Accord Coupe
- 96-00 Civic Coupe
- 94-99 BMW 3 series

Any opinions? Im leanening alot twoard the subaru just because winters here can get pretty bad and ive never had an awd car to play around with. I have been honda loyel for awhile so something different might be nice, and if not I still have my 97 prelude tucked away for the summer.

Also I have pictures up in my gallery of before and after accedent.

im a huge fan of the impreza 2.5 rs. i love how it looks. i'd get either that or the older m3's.

00 Si, in blue

DDragon7 01-01-2006 11:34 PM

Civic Si, since the impreza is the lowest model (I believe) and makes about 160 Hp?

crazyasian 01-02-2006 06:21 AM

impreza 2.5 is a good car to get if you can find one in good shape with good mileage. it all depends how much you get bak so yea.

I was looking at one of those on ebay, what is the difference between the candadian SiR and the US Si? Also any idea on what you have to do to import them like the paperwork and getting the car over the border? And around how much do they usually go for. Im trying to stay under $8000.

I believe the Cdn SiRs and the US Si's are the same, they just had different tirm codes. Not sure about the import thing tho.
