New parts... grillcraft.. I just got my silver upper and lower grillcraft grilles from NA Motorsports. Here are sum pics i just set them on the car, im not actually putting them on my car till i get my fog lights. Let me know what you think!!! |
|
I need to cut the stock upper grille so you cant see the stock grille and H before I install the grillcraft grille |
|
very clean....you can't just take out the stock grill? |
i think u need the fog light grilles too to make it look complete, unless u plan on getting fog lights, i just did the lower grille on mine with the middle and fogs and i think it looks pretty good, just gonna do the upper with black mesh in the spring http://tinypic.com/ibfmue.jpg |
so you had to cut out the stock grill? |
i think u gotta take off the front bumper do to the upper, thats bascially what im dreading |
Looks really good. Now you should get some foglights because those "holes" look out of place to me. |
the grilles r just sittin there they arent secured i just wanted to see how they looked, and yes u need to remove the front bumper to put them on which i am a lil scared to do, and i plan on gettin the fog lights thats why i didnt get the grilles for the fog light holes |
the instructions grillcraft gave me said u need to cut the upper grille to make eveything work |
how did they say to cut it, i never heard that before |
"cut the factory upper grille center" -if you ever looked at an 04=-05 grille it looks like it is 2 pieces the rad. cover and the little painted part i think u cut honeycomb part out and then attach the grille i have the directions but like i said i havent installed them yet |
-if anyone has bought 04-05 oem style fogs off ebay ( i heard a few bad things so im scared to buy but they look the same and they go for around 100 shipped instead of about 250 for the honda ones) or know where to get oem honda ones cheap please let me know |
yea it is 2 pieces, this one of my friends on cardomain and he has directions on how he did it http://www.cardomain.com/ride/674880/2 |
his looks good... and he only spent about $35 i spent about $230 which was still cheaper than www.grillcraft.com it came to about $315 on there i believe |
yea the best way to do it is what he did, i spent like $115 on the lower parts but im just gonna go get some mesh from like home depot than some black spraypaint and install like he did to save some money, $315 wow that is sooo much for grilles, i would never ever spend that much on them, not even $230...but they do look good |
i figured it would be worth it since im not gettin a body kit and i will be keeping the stock bumpers (maybe add a lip kit sumtime) the grilles r really nice and sturdy i think they will hold up forever |
bump |
Have you thought about painting it black? Or are you going to keep it chrome? It'll look great both ways. I'm just wondering. |
its silver not chrome, it comes in black which i almost got but i thought silver would match my chrome wheels and the chrome headlight housings better |
Ohhh! Nice. |
