+++ My new front brakes (PICS) +++

2 Attachment(s)
Got the calipers from the Prelude (H22A), and the disc from the Integra DC2 (B18C). Increasing the size of the disc from 260 mm (standard) to 280 mm. Installation took a day but the result does worth the time :D Enjoy the pics :)

whoa whoa whoa and all that bolted on your 4 door ??? you got prelude calipers and integra disks to fit on a 7thgen. can you give a more detail install cause i think everybody would be interested. like did you use oem brake hoses or did you switch those out as well ?? caliper bracket ?

Too bad I couldn't afford it :o There are not so many brake kits available here in Thailand, most of the kits are USD$1000+

Yoyoio 09-18-2005 12:55 AM

is this direct bolt on, or you custom some new bracket?

It's certainly not a direct bolt-on but I'm not so sure what did the shop done to make it fit. I know that they drilled the discs from 5 bolt holes pcd 114.3 (Integra DC2) to 4 bolt holes pcd 100 (Civic) :)
P.S. I used my OEM brake hoses :D

mrDFWmechanic 09-18-2005 02:29 AM

very nice eyeseeyou. did someone say that they got those for 150? wtf where at i want some.

steak84ss 09-18-2005 11:58 PM

eyeseeyou.....how much difference is that setup from stock? I find 7thGen brakes tend to fade a bit and need lots pressure to stop. Are these that much better?

stop on a dime is all I got to say.. they are twin piston calipers and they stop when you barely press the brake pedal now if yours don't you might need a little adjusment

Just for everyone's reference, he used the 11" Type R rotors, NOT the standard DC2 rotors. This is a relatively common upgrade on the older models, so the fact that it translates is not a surprise to me at all. The rotors CAN safely be redrilled because you do not impede the old pattern at all and the rotors should fit on without issue. The calipers I cannot speak for. They will need to be modified or moved in some way, Honda changed the location of the bracket, a shim is definitely needed to move the caliper out a little (about .050") and some sort of adapter is probably needed to move them out unless the ITR calipers match the bolt holes and the caliper takes up the extra radius from center.

Thanks. Sounds like a good deal for a that amount of money. Most other kits are around 2G's.
